In 2001 I bought an 80-something 1/2 ton Chevy truck for $600. Me and a friend had taken on a side job doing some flooring work. Refinishing and replacing hardwood. The truck, and the used car lot that sold it, were indeed “janky” I asked the guy about a 30 day temp tag and he looked at me and asked “30 days? You need

I myself was hoping to start an aftermarket vinyl face sticker business for Model 3 customers... you know, to fund my Model S. >:)

If history has shown us anything, I think you’re probably right.

I can’t speak for AJayDez, but I frequently cross-shop quite different vehicles. Which one I find the best deal on first determines which of my current vehicles it will replace. Most recently (last year), I was cross-shopping a Chevy SS and a Nissan Frontier to replace my GTO or my Silverado, respectively. I wound up

This is Jalopnik. I imagine readers/commenters cross shop all sorts of weird things. Last time I bought a car it was between a Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-spec, a used Lotus Elise and a JCW Mini.

1st Gear: The Cars Are Better Than The Roads

the other day i was in a store and that song came on and as i was looking around - singing along barely at the bottom of my voice, as one is wont to do anytime one hears bohemian rhapsody - i realized that every other person in the store and the people who worked there were also lowkey singing along too

Why would NASCAR kick him out? I mean, running tobacco seems like a nice spiritual successor to running moonshine. Wouldn’t that make him a NASCAR traditionalist?

Yeah, it’s total bullshit. How would he have conducted himself if it was just a normal situation where cars/trucks are in that lane? Deploy a tire strip?

Doug, please write more. And make more videos. I seriously had forgotten all about my love for cars -a decade in Manhattan without a car will do that to you - until I started reading your stuff.

Pretty much how my asshole would look slammed shut during this.

I mean, the CTS isn’t fullsize either but it’s at a much better place to be the launching point of the new SS. I’m curious on what they will do for their PPV now that the plant that the Caprice is made will be closing down. Might be a good way to get extra sales so they can justify the model. I also wouldn’t hate it

But you CAN afford a Fiero, and some Testarossa parts... :-)

Dont do it, never ever track down your old cars... it only breaks your heart.

If you mean fast, underbudgeted, and I hate some people.. yes.
If you mean helpful, willing to help fix peoples rides, tow people home that had a bad day, etc... then yes too.

Oh, I bet we can do good and still make SOME fun of each other.
