I had a 1990 K1500 that was a true farm truck before I had it. It’s the truck in the article, except red and a 350/5speed combo. Rubber floor mats, manual windows, factory AC delete.

And this is why I generally refuse to get into the debate on autonomous vehicles.

#2 is level 3. Level 5 is no remote driver.

He’s not wrong.

I had an 02 Legacy and an 08 Outback XT (same powertrain as this car.)

I think the best is a combination of both. Analog tach and digital speedometer work nicely.

My wife loves her Av and my buddy has a Veloster, so maybe we can be friends. LOL

Can confirm. Have a 26 foot travel trailer. Get about 8mpg when towing.

upvote for “bomb dump truck”. That is the B-52 right there.

I wish I could say that kind of shit doesn’t happen in Canada:

Seconded. If I ever bought an anything and discovered that it was full of drugs/cash/weapons/anything like that, first call is to a lawyer. He can deal with the legal system for me.

I think you’d have to resurrect an old platform and use existing parts as much as possible.

Define “decent.”

If you disconnected the speedo cable from the speedometer and looped it back into the transfer case fill plug, you’d be fine.

I feel your pain. I once broke a windshield and bent a hood on an otherwise minty, girlfriend owned car, while swapping the transmission in it. That wiped out all the cost savings of DIYing it. And she still married me.

Probably my biggest shocker during this pandemic is realizing just how many COMPANIES are doing the same as too many people - living paycheck to paycheck, and any interruption to cash flow = toast.

The coolest feature of the Fiero was the full spaceframe underneath. Car was only around for 4 years and had 3 different noses and two rear end designs because you could do it.

I know a lot of HF stuff is junk, but I have the HF Earthquake XT 1/2" cordless impact and it is a BEAST. It’s heavy, but it’ll break the lugnuts loose on a fullsize pickup.

Correct. A hydraulic floor jack has one job: to get your car high enough to put proper jack stands under it. Then rock the snot out of it. Better it falls off before you’re under there.
