Not sure a 6th year would help my Scion xA much. Maybe only at 70+ MPH. 4200 is the start of the powerband for pulling hills.

The 6th gear in my NB makes all the difference

Post Note: My trucks have typically has 4spd auto’s. Although they’re kinda slow, it seems to be adequate. The torque converter makes up for it and the 4th gear is tall enough to make highway cruising comfortable.

I got 18 MPG in my GTI at 85 mph through the desert, and that’s a 6 speed. I think regardless of gearing all cars should have a highway cruising gear.
