From the sheer amount of coverage this site gives it, including articles like this that seem to have no purpose, I don’t think anyone in the world feels the magic of anything like this site feels the magic of Overwatch.

Part of journalism is finding different content angles out of a single interview or opportunity. In this case, he had the enviable opportunity to interview Yoshi P. He’s snagging another element and angle of that interview. There’s no way to just barf up every iota of an interview like that in a cohesive fashion.

The Final Fantasy posts on Kotaku are a lot fewer and farther between than, say, Overwatch posts. Come on, man.

Godbert is the BEST part of the Hildibrand stuff.

So yeah, nothing about this is cut-and-dry.

The experience— including the lore, etc.— is all part of the game. You can take the players out of my equation, sure, but the rest? Still part of the game itself, and people have a right to consider those bits terrible.

I don’t think you can say that— it all depends on people’s gameplay preferences. I personally find it terrible because the people you run into in the game are terrible, it feels like there’s nowhere to GO with the game (in terms of growth, progression, anything) and the lore— which is super key for me in games— is

That’s not exactly a run-of-the-mill Bowser and Peach.

At this point, it feels like there’s more Overwatch content on Kotaku than there is in Overwatch. >.<

Nearly half of today’s stories so far are focused, in some form or fashion, on Blizzard. Guys... I want to hear about some cool indie game stuff going on. Or other studios. Or something other than Overwatch. Yes, I can choose not to click, but when there’s nothing else to click on...

If they manage to find a reason why the game has absolutely no story, progression or sense, and actually manage to then make the larger meta worth that “all surface” approach, I’ll be impressed. Surprised, but impressed.

Talk to a few folks who are marketers professionally, and you’ll find out in short order that this is neither ignorance nor corruption (which is an absolutely insane contention, by the by). That’s like saying book publishers are idiots for bothering to publish physical books these days. Have they greatly cut back on

I don’t understand the big deal on this— if I buy a physical book, I expect something different than if I buy a digital book. I buy the physical book for different reasons than I would buy a digital book. Same for almost any medium— why would it be any different for games?

100% agreed, but good luck with that unpopular opinion.

Was hoping someone posted this.

Mono + antibiotics for strep = the fucking worst. I did that when I was in high school and it was miserable. You have my sympathy.

Even women who aren’t likely to stress about every little thing are stressed about this. Being pregnant is fucking scary as it is because there’s so much beyond your control, and you can’t tell wtf is going on inside you at any given time with any reliability. Adding this shit on top of it definitely doesn’t help.

You jerk.. You got to correct it, so no one else will read it and laugh like a buffoon like I did. (For the record, I alternate. Sometimes washcloth, sometimes not. Post-massage and need to get rid of that awful greasy feeling you’re left with after a massage? Washcloth or gtfo.)

Well, problem one is that you’re rubbing soup on your body. Which, you do you, man. No judgment.

The only time I went to Hartford, I spent a lot of time saying “Wait, what the hell?” as I tried to get into downtown. (Then downtown got weird after dark.)
