“Just pointing out hypocrisy” is another way to say whataboutism. Things don’t stop being a problem just because there’s another, similar problem not being addressed.
There’s a pretty common attitude that all manner of atrocities - murder, torture, rape, even war and genocide - are fine as long as they happen to the “deserving”.
Sometimes you see a headline you wouldn’t have randomly predicted, but that also comes as absolutely no surprise.

I’m convinced that film execs and producers don’t know the difference between a good film and a bad one, they simply see them as the sum of their parts.
They got a bit of goodwill for reviving franchises like DarkSiders and TimeSplitters. Not that it lasted, of course.
It’s for people who see these transactions as investments. They’re not paying for a game, or a character etc.; they’re paying for arbitrary assets that they’re hoping will grow in value (hence the evangelism, they need other people to buy in). They probably don’t see it as spending money at all, any more than those who…
It’s more that it bears mentioning now, as these days it’s a minority of games that do it, as publishers often cheap out and stick half the game in a download (or even the whole lot).

I will maintain that the original FF7 ought be played before the spinoff or reboot entries. Spoilers aside (as there is in fact more than one plot twist, so even knowing the big one there may be surprises left), it’s a fantastic self-contained story (and one relatively light on filler, too) rather than a middle…
I’d be interested to know what languages they’re using that don’t have at least a couple of date/time libraries that handle this stuff.
