idk, I’m not even American and the WTC attack feels like a firm dividing line between eras.

I’m convinced that film execs and producers don’t know the difference between a good film and a bad one, they simply see them as the sum of their parts.
Hey now, give them some credit. They took the time to edit me out of the thread :P
They got a bit of goodwill for reviving franchises like DarkSiders and TimeSplitters. Not that it lasted, of course.
It’s for people who see these transactions as investments. They’re not paying for a game, or a character etc.; they’re paying for arbitrary assets that they’re hoping will grow in value (hence the evangelism, they need other people to buy in). They probably don’t see it as spending money at all, any more than those who…
It’s more that it bears mentioning now, as these days it’s a minority of games that do it, as publishers often cheap out and stick half the game in a download (or even the whole lot).
Nah, too much of 7r assumes you played the original.
I will maintain that the original FF7 ought be played before the spinoff or reboot entries. Spoilers aside (as there is in fact more than one plot twist, so even knowing the big one there may be surprises left), it’s a fantastic self-contained story (and one relatively light on filler, too) rather than a middle…
I’d be interested to know what languages they’re using that don’t have at least a couple of date/time libraries that handle this stuff.
Rad!
The recent “rerelease” was just taking the old cards style and art and updating them to the current meta. I also don’t want cheap bootlegs, I want an official product.
I think there was a boxed rerelease of the original set pretty recently, but it’s probably going for scalper prices now.
Just gonna copy my comment from Polygon ‘cos I’m lazy:
I always assume when devs make a bet like that, they were going to do it anyway.
Others are explaining the difference, so I’ll just chime in on what the issues are. That’s “issues” plural, because there’s multiple conversations around it that tend to get conflated:
“there’s bound to be people lacking in social decorum that seep into a community”
Before the HD era/indie renaissance? That was a good decade and a half ago.
Wasn’t there a remake on PSP or something?
iirc it was a Burlesque House, not a brothel.
