Tony Bennett, Sinead O’Connor, and Randy Meisner is pretty weird combination of deaths coming in three.

I think the only supporters, really, were other artists close to her, probably those who played with her (like Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce from The Smiths), MC Lyte, other Irish/English artists that were close, etc. At this time (and still), though, the big deal for music, especially for those from across the Atlantic,

Also, he didn’t appear nude during questioning by the committee. He only had his top shirt button undone. :/

Imagine if this artefact got a description similar to what we find in museums today:

Seems like the Pop Culture Shelf Filler fad died 3 years ago and they’re just holding on because it’s most of their business so they just have to or else

We are seriously destroying our planet with chemicals and plastics for fake plastic ice cream pops in the shape of pop culture shit?

According to Lee, Parker didn’t realize just how out of it her co-star was in that moment”

Raise a glass for a those with the courage to fight the real enemies, internal and external.  RIP.

i wish they had done an entire album together

I’m seeing a lot of reactions to her death from an American perspective, where ripping up the Pope’s photo destroyed her career. But over here in the UK we didn’t get SNL, neither did Ireland, so the response was pretty minimal. We just carried on seeing her as the same talented artist she always was, and she carried

Obviously not sure yet if it applies to this story, but still: If you have thoughts of suicide or self-harm, don’t act on them. No matter what country you’re in, there is free help available and things will get better. I’ve been close one or two times myself and am glad I didn’t do it.

It’s pretty awkward out of context, although the movie continues to characterize Tatlock as an extremely standoffish

Clicked through just to confirm that was indeed one of the monsters from In the Mouth of Madness. What a fantastic movie that was way ahead of its time vis-à-vis its themes of post-truth and influence of media... not to mention some super fun shlocky Lovecraftian vibes. Sam Neill is also a treasure in this, further

Apparently they’re killing two birds with one stone; OppenBarbie.

Walk the Line and Ray? Seriously? Those movies are prime examples of bland, shit biopics - how not to make one. They may feature wonderful performances, but the movies are hollow shells that fabricate events in order to fill a 2 hour narrative. They are the same movie, so much so they directly inspired a movie mocking

Yeah by those criteria Shakespeare in Love should be on the list.

On the other hand, he got paid something like 10 to 20 years worth of my income (and NSW Health/the private sector pay me very well for what I do) just for a few weeks at most work on Batgirl alone.

I appreciate that the DC movies are at least wild risks, not just basically the same movie 12 different times like the MCU

You go to an odd school.
