We definitely need more nerd-centric toy shave sets to prevent neckbeards. I’m all for the Transformer set.
the snippet of Stone dancing down the hallway reminded me very much of Qualley in that perfume commercial. Didn’t realize she was in it till you pointed it out.
Margaret Qualley. Nice one.
They say initial previews of his Hey Go-Lean and I Knock The Wine are real toe-tappers ;)
Fun fact: Pitt, Cruise, and Kosinski were already set to do Ford v Ferrari and got as far as an actual table read but the execs deemed it to expensive and so was scrapped. Kosinski and Cruise went off and made Top Gun with that same tech. Cruise and Pitt have often wanted to find a project to work together again. Some…
“There is no feud - we have no relationship” is the most perfect things I’ve read this week.
I had the priviledge of working for Debbie Reynolds at her Las Vegas hotel.
Just wanted to add how nice and rare it was to see some semblance of the old community here. I got home from work tonight and put on my CD of Gord’s “Complete Greatest Hits” CD (god bless Rhino) and, on this cold and rainy night, nothing was better in this moment than to hoist a cold one in honor of the man while…
My dad definitely had that record too.
Being from the Great Lakes region, Edmund Fitzgerald really resonates. The gales of November indeed. It’s an amazingly intense song. And I’ll stand on Bob Dylan’s coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that.
Growing up in the Great Lakes region Lightfoot was a big chunk of the AM radio I grew up on in the back of the family station wagon. There was something so warm, rugged and woodsy about his voice that was really compelling.
This one hurts. Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald was my favorite song as a kid. I played it all the time on a boombox, drove my parents insane. Now that I’m older I still love it, I appreciate that it immortalized 29 people who died and I think its very well written. Does anyone know where the love of god goes when the…
For some reason I never really appreciated “Sundown” until it appeared in a perfectly fitting scene in S1 of The Blacklist.
Couldn’t they have just trimmed that kindergarten-level conversation between stalls at that open market? For a long split second I thought the movie was going to play out in real time, my god my ears were bleeding from that.
It’s weird, but it happens all the time. The bigger “star” often gets top billing over the actual lead character.
Rebel Academy (1 through 7)
A camp comedy icon, a reference on The Simpsons, and a Goblin King in a Hobbit. Humphries did it all! Rest well, mate.
Seconded!
