I just bought it and started playing, but as a guy who probably tried 70+ times to defeat Nightmare King Grimm in Hollow Knight before finally doing so, I’d like to think I can handle anything Death’s Door throws my way.

Big mistake not involving the original writers/creators in the reboot. I re-watched the entirety of the original Animaniacs last year (what? Covid lockdown...had to watch something...) and finished right before the reboot started. The difference is night and day, in every aspect.
Isn’t his first name Bowser and last name Koopa? Full name Bowser Koopa. Sounds good. Am I the only one that assumed that...?
So now it’s just gonna take longer before this team can get to work on The Evil Within 3 WHICH IS DEFINITELY HAPPENING RIGHT PLEASE I NEED IT
Good idea, I can see it now... The entire Looney Tunes roster divided into 2-on-2 gameplay with wacky moves and gadgets and items and power-ups. They could title it “Looney Tunes B-Ball.”
Who else gets depressed when there’s a reboot/reunion/revival/whatever and the reason certain characters don’t have their original voice actor reprising the role is because THEY’RE DEAD? :’(
Jesus.
I feel stupid for asking this, but I’m working while I sporadically read this article so maybe I glossed over it or misunderstood, but can someone clear this up: So you get to a certain point, and if/when you die, you start all the way back at the very beginning of the game? Every time? No matter how far you got? And…
When supposed new stock comes in, constantly refreshing at any other site than GameStop Did. Not. Work. Only GameStop, and it worked for me for the PS5 and again today with the series X. Only downside: yeah, they’re pricey bundles, with an extra controller, gift card, and game(s) you may not even want. So next time it…
I remember playing “Guerilla War” on the NES at my friend’s house when we were kids and wondering, hey, where are all the damn apes at?
Kinda pathetic. As has been said, it’s the easiest part of making the game! Pick a theme. Add more spaces, make stuff happen on those spaces. Branch routes. Not hard.
It is astonishing that they couldn’t come up with at LEAST a 5th gameboard. Has any previous Mario Party had less than 5 or 6 boards? Not the ones I have.
Don’t forget Playdead. Can’t wait for their next Limbo/Inside-like (hopefully) game.
One of my all-time underrated favorites. Great cast, great pacing, direction, atmosphere, cinematography, sound, etc. And I even liked (loved?) the “slasher” twist during the final stretch. Shrug.
It’s just so weird to me. It’s a 2D game, I went as far up, down, left, right as it would allow, banging Abe’s head into so many walls he’d have a concussion, falling down every gap/pit/hole, and if paths branched, I’d be sure to go down each one and double back to make sure both were complete. There’s no where else…
After realizing my frustrating death loop in New n Tasty was caused by a little bat(?) fluttering around that you need to throw a bottle cap at to kill, I forged ahead and completed the game. But “missed” like over 100 fellow Mudokons or something ridiculous like that. This, despite the fact that if/when I saw a…
Finally, FINALLY, getting to Spider-Man, and I guess it’s good I waited for the PS5 remaster because it looks amazing (pun) on a 4K OLED HDR TV. And fuck the 30fps with ray-tracing, I’m all about the 60fps without any extra bells and/or whistles. It’s rare to be in shock of how good games look these days, I’m old,…
That’s a good point. It’s different going to a beach or pool and seeing people of all different ages in bathing suits, live, in person, with dozens/hundreds of other people, and then they’re gone, just a memory, once you or they leave your field of view. But if you have access to see all these people any time you want,…
“My latest challenge is BioShock 2...”
And the Cuphead DLC... which I know I’m dreaming, but I also hope turns out to be started-as-DLC-but-turned-into-full-blown-sequel a la Silksong... How cool would that be?
