Also great if people are well informed of every single limitation of the system, which most people are not. You cannot expect the average person to understand how a complicated autonomous driving system will act in every case. that requires a more than casual understanding of computer vision systems, computer

Right. I was 100% on board until they got to Apple. Still agree with everything else, but how is a phone supposed to know if it’s being used by a driver? I should be the car manufacturer’s job to make sure their cars aren’t crashing into things, not the phone manufacturer’s job to make sure people are paying attention

Those people are trained. The average tesla purchaser is not. There is a huge difference in the expected level of skill. Liability is usually determined by the expected level of skill of the expected user, not what you want their skill level to be.

Yeah most people would complain. Why would you want fake lights? What they should embrace is that they are sensors and they serve a purpose. They shouldn’t masquerade as something they aren’t because that’s as stupid as air vents that don’t flow air.

I’m no EE, but I don’t think that’s how super capacitors work. They are an open circuit with two plates that are insulated from each other. They have fancy electrodes and electrolytes folded into different shapes to fit different housings, but the general construction and current flow is the same as a regular

I’ve never seen an article on here that is pro-dealer, Tesla or otherwise...

Yeah, but wouldn’t you want your area to become more successful? More events means more income, which means more business, which means higher property values, which means more money for everyone. Quiet neighborhoods don’t make money.

Tesla doesn’t needlessly require the VIN to be encoded in replacement electrical components.

The shorter pull lever probably are designed to give your hand a mechanical advantage to pull the cable harder than the longer pull levers. The cantilevered brakes probably require not a lot of cable travel, but a harder pull on that cable. Sounds like your longer pull lever was putting your hand at a mechanical

Seems decent. Worth emphasizing that they didn’t have to buy a new high-voltage battery when the battery warranty had expired. That would likely have made the rear seat change price look like peanuts.

I think it’s a proportion thing. You should really see if you fit in it. Your limbs may be proportionally different to your torso than the people talked to in this article.

Ha! What exactly about this publicity is bad for F1? A bunch of whiny NIMBYers putting a wet towel on fun? F1 doesn’t exactly look like bullies here. No one is kicking people out of their houses to make this happen and the event is only 3 days, once a year. Yeah it’s loud, but it’s a city. Loud events happen all of

The few races where Vinales and Quatararo brought it to Marquez were great. The Rins win was great too. Watching the same guy do a tour of the circuit (75% of the races) is uninteresting though. Watching a guy who clearly was in over his head take out 3 of the top riders battling for the championship makes it worse.

Yeah if it’s more of the same I’m just going to skip watching this season and catch it on Netflix.

Which is still nothing compared to your rents and housing prices so I’m still wondering why people focus on this relatively small expense.

Dude, that’s your shortcoming. I regularly drive in traffic on 95 in a sedan and can see traffic ahead just fine. Maybe just stop crawling up the ass of the person in front of you. Also, lanes are not the same width as your car. You can be close to the person in front of you and still see around if you just stagger

Agreed. I can see traffic just fine in my sedan. I can still see the high mounted tail lights of the tank in front of the car in front of me just fine. The arguments that you need a SUV to drive among SUVs is poor and made by poor drivers. Just need to stop people from creeping up next to me when I’m tying to make a

I mean, yeah, I guess, if I was the kind of person who gives up and wanted to drive a shitty car. Head up, man. Have some principles.

I mean, that’s your fault. I live in a major metropolitan area and premium is within $0.50 regularly and if I try real hard I can get within $0.30. Even at $0.50 more, it’s only $8 more per fill up. Compared to insurance and a note payment that is approximately a rounding error.

Personally, I don’t see how DAS doesn’t give Mercedes an appreciable advantage. I have a feeling this is going to be another year of hardcore Mercedes domination.
