Bullshit then. Get your eyes checked. Or maybe turn in the ol’ license. Seems night blindness is creeping in. Also slow down if you keep hitting animals.

Oh sure. None of us have ever been on a back road with no houses and thick tree cover before. Come off it, man. If you use a light bar responsibly, fine, but don’t claim you got a special kind of dark in your part of the country. My HIDs light up any road just fine whether I’m driving past a farm or a mcdonalds. Your

Wow. Four THOUSAND watts! That’s impressive.

YEEEESSSS!!!! I saw that! Thank you for that!!!!

I find that hard to believe... A pint of water is about a pound. Is ice cream really less than half as dense? It’s strange this is the only data point she doesn’t have a reference for....

Well the door is over there. Seems like you aren’t really having fun in this race series.

There’s got to be more to this. Pretty sure BMW is already using a head that has only 2 ports, like on the engine in the Supra.

But it’s still designated as “sport” so even the “harder” inside is pretty soft. I have two different kinds of dual compound tires on my two bikes that include sport and sport touring so dual compound in of itself doesn’t really say anything about how hard the center portion is, only that it’s harder than the outside

I think you’re reading way more into his comment than he actually wrote.

That is impressive, but I have a feeling with his average speed, he spends a lot of time on the highway. Cruising in fifth uses zero clutch.

Yeah I think the most important question would have been, “how do you keep it from rusting?” Pretty much everything rusts when exposed to salt, even the hardiest of cars. Only way you get by rust free is if you are doing something to prevent it. Great story, but missed opportunity.

Also, “I apparently don’t care much for riding dynamics and want my motorcycle to handle like a model that is 40 years older.”

OK, fair.

If you want higher mileage, get harder tires. Sport touring and touring tires wear much longer than sport tires.

I’m even OK with it for the rear tire of the bike if there is a side car. If there is no leaning, there is no need for the motorcycle tire, but if you need to elan, you should have a motorcycle tire.

And if you’re mounting a motorcycle tire by hand, like he’s doing, you’ll use those tools anyway. The ziptie method is widely talked about in the motorcycle community. The clamps are a common mounting tool too when you don’t have access to a mounting machine.

They’re cheap motherfuckers. That’s what they are. You can get narrow tires pretty much anywhere. Tire rack is an easy one.

Putting a square tire will probably help it go straight better, but it will also handle way worse than a squared off motorcycle tire. The flat spot on a worn bike tire is like 2" wide max and the rest of the tire still has the correct contour.

I saw this video when it came out. I like his evaluation and I think he did a great job of looking at the issue with fresh eyes. That said, I still think it’s dumb to put a car tire on a motorcycle. It’s only good for people that want to completely ruin the riding experience. Why would I want my turn in to be harder?

They have gear reduction boxes to step the motor RPM down to the tire RPM. They don’t usually have multiple-ratio transmissions except for the Taycan.
