Allowing buzzed driving isn’t really a good cause to stand behind. Driving with any alcohol in your blood is dangerous and selfish. No one can make the argument that they are just as alert completely sober as opposed to even the slightest amount of alcohol. We just have a culture that is unfortunately centered around

I know right? If you ride in my car, you now transcribe my texts if they should be sent ahead of us.

Yes. In 99% of the country that isn’t in a city. The responsible ones keep it at 2 drinks and hang out for a while. The rest drive home because they are only “buzzed.”

I like discussing the idea that rapists, pedophiles, and predators go to jail for their crimes, especially when they flaunt their crimes.

Thanks, for everything, Patrick! Jalopnik has been great under your management! Good luck at your new place! Tell the next guy more motorcycle racing coverage that isn’t focused on just the crashes!!

You’re confusing how it is with with how it should be. If we’re told it’s chicken, it should be damn near entirely chicken.

Why car? It’s obviously not a car. It’s a box truck.

Even if it wasn’t, if having an old airbag really worries someone that much (never bothered me), they should replace them. Look at it as the price of admission for not having a car payment for a decade and low insurance premiums. Way better than risking your life and your passengers’ lives.

There is no way ANY of those sources recommend disabling a safety feature of your car. No way at all. Replacement? Yes. No one that likes to avoid being sued would publicly recommend that you should simply unplug your airbags because they are old.

Do all vehicles need to have a title to be sold or is that just the policy of the auction house? I thought you could buy an untitled track car, and it’s not really a problem unless you want to register it for road use.

Where exactly is “here” because I’ve never heard anyone suggest deactivating an airbag for an on-road vehicle. If it’s that big of a concern, maybe replace them instead of risking smashing your face on the steering wheel/dash board.

Maybe STI or Subaru or whoever can tell you what changes prompted the additional crash testing. I’m sure the agencies told them why they would need additional testing. Either that or general regulations are probably codified in one of the CFR sections under which ever agency handles crash testing (DOT? NHTSA?).

Are we generically calling all startups “tech startups” now? Seems like a case of someone not thinking about the words they are using.

Exactly. It’s a great range extender. Hell, it doesn’t even need to be used to drive the electric motors directly so the fuel cell doesn’t need to be big. It can be a chemical battery charger of sorts where it adds charge to the battery regardless of whether the car is moving.

It’s not awful, but when a fullsize truck with 2 extra cylinders gets 20-30% better fuel economy than that, it’s not exactly competitive.

Lol! I’m not for ICE’s, I just don’t see why you’d choose hydrogen over full electric.

Also, if the toddler recognizes the items that are wrapped, they won’t know that that isn’t how it usually works. They’ve only had what? one christmas before that they don’t even remember? They’ll just think the fun is unwrapping stuff, not unwrapping new stuff.

A bit rude commenting on someone’s family choices. If someone takes care of their own, who are you to judge how many children someone has?

And what is rapid depresurization? That’s right, class! An explosion. A pressure vessel can explode without anything ever combusting.

Oh yeah. Completely agree. Just saying hydrogen will not take off with how much more difficult it will be to live with hydrogen.
