Is today opposite day?
Is today opposite day?
That there is a baseless assertion. So yeah, you can say that I guess, but that’s all you’re doing.
The cars to get smaller so they can run on something other than a purpose-built F1 track. Cars are arguably too big for a lot of the tracks they already run and most places can’t afford to build ever larger and wider tracks like COTA. This is F1. They can make the cars whatever they want. They should make the cars fit…
Also the breathalyzer devices we currently use for offenders need to calibrated monthly. Need some big jumps in the technology before this is feasible.
Well yeah, that works if no one else drives on the road, but we live in a world where the roads are shared. I’m happy to rely on my abilities to drive safely and carefully while still having an airbag to catch my head if someone decides to turn left in front of me while I’m going through an intersection. Just drive…
I have a newer car and it breaks plenty on its own. I don’t need an older car that breaks even more.
Never said they wanted (read: intended) to murder me, but by their carelessness they risk it. They have prioritized their comfort over my safety and the safety of everyone else that drives a car. It’s a fact that more people should be aware of and, again, I don’t have to be nice about it. There are hard statistics…
Cool. I’ll go pass some laws on my lunch break.
But then there are also the laws of physics that say a higher frontal area is harder to push through the air and a heavier vehicle is harder to push up a hill. Accordingly, bigger vehicles will always require more energy with the same drivetrain in a smaller, lighter vehicle.
Maybe. But my comfort decisions aren’t 26%-150% more likely to kill a person in a normal car in an accident and furthering the race to taller and less stable vehicles, thereby making everyone less safe. I just have, like, a fluffier couch. I guess someone could get stuck in it if they have poor core strength.
Good point! We actually had the mazda MPV for a while that sounds exactly like what you described.
Sacrifices will have to be made.
Keep fighting the good fight, comrade!
But how am I supposed to lift my own body from 20" off the ground? I need everything in life to be the least amount of effort possible. Everyone should pay for my bad designs and laziness!
Ha! That’s it! Maybe we can kill CUVs by consistently calling them minivans! People hate minivans! If we convince enough people that everyone else thinks they drive a minivan, they’ll start buying better vehicles.
Edit: My mistake.
Motorcycles absolutely do have emissions equipment and do have to meet ever tightening Euro standards. Those same bikes are sold in the US because we don’t buy enough motorcycles for manufacturers to change them for our market. I have a 10 year old YZF-R6 with EGR and a catalyst bigger than some cars I’ve owned. Also…
Yeah but what about my cost? No fault is great... for insurance companies. Consumers get screwed over though because there is no recourse available for the consumer.
Yeah, but I can inspect for corroded fuel lines and fraying throttle cables. Vacuum leaks just make my car run a little rough or at worst, make braking tougher, and again, I can prevent failures by maintaining my vehicle. What do I do about sensor false positives? Especially the ones that cause my car to SLAM on the…
Did they take the site down too? Also G/O sounds like they’re being shady about it. G/O said in a public announcement they would try to find other places for the employees within the company. Employees are saying they’ve been laid off.
