Did not know this! Thanks! Not perfect, but it a good step!

No, I don’t think he pays himself, I think he pays (or paid) Racing Point for the opportunity to say who goes in the seat by becoming owner of the team. Still cost him money. It’s just like being a pay driver with more steps.

I know this is off topic and I get the point of your original comment, but you’re pushing almost 100hp and 100+ftlbs over stock if I understand correctly. While that’s relatively straight forward to achieve with that turbo engine, a 40% increase in hp and 50% increase in torque is no small modification. Still

Anyone that was hired because of their sponsors. I think George Russell is being bankrolled by Mercedes so he can drive for Williams. Kubica has sponsorship support I think. I’d be surprised if Williams could afford to pay drivers anything. Stroll’s dad is paying for him like he always has. Perez has heavy sponsorship

Helmet designs mattered when it was easy to see the helmets. Now that we have a halo, the helmets aren’t as easily seen and their designs aren’t used to identify drivers as much. This matters way more in motorcycle series like Motogp OR WSBK and even they don’t have this rule I don’t think. F1 should update this rule

Those engine output numbers don’t say “lightly modified” to me.

So a suburban is a van. Ha! That’s going to piss someone off.

Right. Think of how many people build air and oil filters. Think o? how many warehouses full of all of the different kinds of these filters there are around the country. It’s going to be a big shock to people when they have to figure out some other manufacturing job.

How much do they really care about their horses if they subject them to racing knowing full well if they fall it is a death sentence? The horses they supposedly love are bred to be light and fragile and are especially susceptible to damage from racing, yet there they are, sending them into harm’s way for, what was it?

Plenty of things. For one, the new 3-series looks sweet and the M340 has like 395hp. It’s a four door sedan with almost 400 hp and a comfy quiet interior. I’d like to sit in one. Audi has some cool stuff too. Might be cool to check out how ridiculous the new luxo pickups are by the big three. Hyundai has some cool

True. I guess I was equating these skills with an interest in the details of an automobile. People don’t seem to care about those details, even ones that have a direct effect on the driving experience. I think this is what I was getting at with my engine example.

Maybe ‘wasted’ was too strong of a word. Getting buzzed is certainly fair though. It’s annoying because it seems like that’s all anyone aged 18-45 wants to do in most areas, or at least the ones I’ve lived in. Wine tastings, bourbon tastings, beer flights. Boooorrrriing.

It’s because it’s not a mobile gaming convention. ‘People’ don’t like cars anymore. Even men, who were historically the automotive target market, don’t care about cars. All except one guy I work with could be bothered to change his own tire in a bind. Many boyfriends and husbands of friends wouldn’t even know where to

So I can get a chicken sandwich from a company that doesn’t actively support anti-gay groups? Or is popeyes not much better? I love chick-fil-a, but can’t get past that we really shouldn’t be giving them our money.

Dear John,

Agreed. Takes little planning to make sure you don’t stop so close to the line that you have to step on it.

Cue the guy who lives in rural indiana that says his kids ride on the bus at an average speed of 60 mph for 2 hrs each way so electrifying buses is a bad idea.

Guys, you don’t need two feet to stand a bike up. If you have both feet down at a stop, you should start practicing putting your left foot only down at stops. In fact, you really should already know how to do this because you should be using your right foot for the rear brake.

Lol! That’s a lot of money for a Jeep that’ll overheat if you actually use that engine. The engineer in a previous article also said the jeep couldn’t properly cool a V8 and that it was just one reason why they stuck with the V6. Have fun, rich person.

Yep! Low sided on a track and fell right on that spot. Wore a hole in my suit in that exact spot. Luckily (very) it didn’t get through the mesh liner. Chaps are good for shielding you from the wind, not the road.
