I think this is a massive overreaction. What happens in this game regarding a statue is completely divorced from what is going on in real life right now and is frankly insulting the very real problems we are focused on.

Calm down. It probably had been planned and made months ago. Should it have been posted NOW? obviously not. But its not like they made it today to send a message of solidarity with the Confederacy.

Odds are pretty good that the ad was planned a while ago, especially since its using in-game footage. It’s just not the sort of thing that could spontaneously be thrown together.

It’s unfortunate timing, but this ad was probably planned months ago. It’s foolish that no-one thought to cancel it, but I doubt it was intended to “vaguely gesture in the direction of real-world issues.”
