Patel is British first and of Indian heritage second.

I want one right now, please!

My problem with this is something I’ve been seeing more and more lately: the complaint of “they didn’t handle this situation/ portray this character in the exact way I personally would have wanted them to”. Which is IMO a very odd stance to take, when discussing fiction.

It’s not the staging that most of us have issue with. It’s that calling for his head from members of the right wing that many of us have issues for. To me, it’s clear he committed some sort of crime. However, the crime doesn’t seem very important or really worth so much attention.

Rebel Wilson and James Corden being coaxed into doing that as punishment.

Someone needs to explain to you the concept of “punching down”...

Steve coming back isn’t something from the comic books, as far as I’m aware.

I don’t care it it was assumed Star Trek characters could have used profanity or not, IT DOESN’T NEED IT!!! Its sloppy and done for shock’s sake to use it in Star Trek, and now I have another thing I can’t let my kid watch I was hoping to share with her.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m really not traumatized by having to watch old films at the quality and color they were originally shot in. Other than cleaning up any accumulated scratches and other damage due to the age of the print or negative, I’d prefer to watch a film in as close to the original condition as possible.

This is about trademarks, not copyrights. You can absolutely trademark a common word, although you can be at greater risk of it later being found unenforceable or being rendered generic.

Now I’m wondering whether anyone has looked at the “death drive” in relation to Julian Jaynes’ theories on consciousness. Specifically, Jaynes claimed there was no documentary evidence for voluntary suicide in human societies prior to his hypothesized breakdown of the bicameral mind and the development of the modern”

Off-topic, but I’ll take this opportunity to say once again that I wish someone would cast Michael Emerson as a live-action version of the Ventriloquist from Batman.

I’ve always found Stewart to be the least interesting Lantern

But also how it forces every single Doctor Who product to have the wrong numeration. It causes needless problems when discussing the show. “I like the Eighth Doctor best?” “Old numbering or new?”
