I’m in a similar boat — I’ve seen none of them, never heard of 16 of them before this list, and, of the nine I’d previously heard of, four of those I only know from seeing mentions of them by people in the context of year-end “Best Films” lists, so it’s more “meta-awareness” than actually knowing anything about them.

Sorry, the behavior of the priest and coach were both bad, but I can’t get past the fact that they named their kid “house” in French....

Except that I don’t have any issue with those ingredients. (And that example is kind of funny — Southern Comfort Eggnog is my wife’s favorite eggnog.)

I love eggnog, but it’s absolutely not worth making your own. There are very good commercially-available eggnogs that don’t really cost much more than what the ingredients would cost to make your own.

I’m not upset at Ali, but this is pretty “heads-I-win-tails-you-lose” reporting given the number of times media outlets have gotten reamed out around here or on sister blogs for allegedly failing to raise racial issues in connection with reporting on POC public figures. (And that’s to say nothing of the number of

In other matters that don’t count for a hill of beans, why had he been drinking ginger ale for a decade? Is Reich America dry or something? I could be forgetting something from season 1....

I compensate for that by making a point of getting lots of refills on lemonade — I’m bleeding them dry one delicious, homophobic drop of lemonade at time!
