You stopped reviewing the show and just reviewed how gay it was, while typing ‘queer’ 9 times.
No-one ever credits the proof reader.
‘bone arrow’ = ‘bow and arrow’, surely?
I also thought that was her incredibly metal way of delivering at the time, but alas no.
“Whoever decided to not go with Kravitz because she’s a woman of color is probably kicking themselves now, because there’s been plenty of positive chatter from fans about Kravitz taking on the role.”
I liked the bit about trying to explain the plot of the most seen movie ever to someone who clearly has no interest in the franchise. Why would anyone do that?
For me the way to make the twist less obvious would have been to have Dreyfuss appear earlier in the show, to imply she was the Power Broker without stating it.

So the point is that 90% of the first 3 episodes were deliberately not entertaining?
Someone else summed it up better up there, but the sitcom bits feel like they were made just to show they could do it. In smaller doses it would have been easier to watch.
They were a slog to get through, for me. The mystery was just enough to keep me invested, but I didn’t enjoy the framing device at all.
My complaint was that this episode was funnier than all of the sitcom ones , which somewhat undercuts the point of them, imo.
The principle is the same. We know that what we are watching isn’t ‘reality’.
UK, I'm not a lunatic
I turned over after watching this to see an early episode of Life on Mars - an hour long show that did this drawn out mystery stuff so much better just by having an enjoyable show anchoring it.
To add to this, a good finale can save a poor final season and still send everyone home happy.
