Boy, do we have a lot of bad takes in this thread.

“If you say a wrong thing, or do a wrong thing? It’s amazing, that this [social media and the internet] has become a portal for so much pain. But I do think, in the larger perspective, if you zoom out, this is all very positive. I think, mostly, about the victims of these things, they’ve got so much more of a platform

What did he say that was so egregious? Did he defend Louis CK or Roseanne? No. Is saying that as society still haven’t found our equilibrium when it comes to the power of social media a horrible or offensive statement? No.

“The spec episode doesn’t just focus on Apu, but pulls in other prominent Indian Americans in hilarious ways to highlight the importance of diversity and individuality through the lens of The Simpsons

“Shankar would like to The Simpsons produce the spec script he chose as the winner of his contest,”

So Apu has to go because his people need him?”--Poochie

Why now? Why not twenty years ago?

I’ll call and raise you ‘Time Enough At Last’.

I completely acknowledge that it is entirely possible that all those NY style folks are simply wrong - probably a mental illness or drug interaction problem or something.  We should take pity on them.
