At first I was perplexed and oddly confused by the Japanese Lady Robot infatuation posted daily on Gizmo.

Here in the U.S as we were not prepared for the emergency task of plugging an oil well and left the task to the the folks who caused it. And stood on a stool screaming like a little girl until it was over. What makes anyone think we would be able to take care of an asteroid.

Yikes! This made me realize that one day someone in Al Qaeda may have diegested something more volatile than a three dozen Mentos in their body to react with a diet Coke they order mid flight.

@canuck85: I was thinking the same thing.

@Lord_Data ∞: Hmm. Sounds plausible. Even sounds reasonable.

Just to throw more tinfoil on the fire, they have that gigamormous data center they are building in NC, with signs of doubling it, and more acreage across the street. Maybe they plan on playing a bigger role in handling data from their devices than we think? Their own phone & data network?

I own a couple of blackberries. For email, my old BB curve is awesome for what it does. I think the form factor is perfect for it.

OS X is still tiny compared to Windows. If Apple can successfully integrate iOS and it's consumers into the platform, it would only help grow both the Mac and its developers a wider consumer pool. This is in no way bad for developers. It is in their best interests to further the platform.

The major networks should be deadly frightened. And not just because of Google. Internet based start-up networks with their own original programing will be able to bypass local cable systems and stream directly to consumers.

A part of my adolescence has died with him. May he FINALLY get some peace away from all those fine, um, Omni women.

@Regal: I used to to think they were getting overpriced, but all their new products and strategies are hitting them out of the park. I think the sales potential for what they are doing lately is incredible. Without a doubt the next few quarters are going to see increased revenues from Verizon iphone, aggressive ipad

@Batmanuel: Ok, I see your point. You're right. Word, Excel, email.

We are talking some serious money for Apple.

@DBX00: Speaking of crash and burn. It will be interesting to see how hot these get. The old MBA were know to overheat and slow to a crawl.

I think they these will sell well. Not the most innovative notebook, but the battery life, instant on, weight, and design will presuade a lot of folks.

Nice. I could see the touch gestures come very handy.

That is an awesome graphic of Jobs!

@Mekkakat: LOL, we must start a commission to protect all those poor exploited trendy hipsters! Oh the humanity!
