What is there to be obsessed about? We all drew this car as a doodle in fourth grade math.

Seems the difference is a human says “hmmm, those bright flashing lights are making it hard for me to see, I’ll slow down” and a Telsa says “No idea what that is, best not to worry about it”.
They also blind normal drivers too!
You make it sound like the truck driver himself is at fault. Seems to me like that would only be the case if A) he owned the trailer and B) he didn’t properly maintain it. I imagine he’s an employee of the transport company.
This is horrible with many at fault. Never trust any Maps app or GPS. For a couple of years, Google Maps would direct me to stop on a highway on ramp for a nearby Best Buy.
Counterpoint: how stupid do you have to be to continue driving off the edge of a bridge because your GPS told you to
They’re gonna do it because they *can* and because they can issue fines. That’s how they make money.
I live in Canada so we don’t have those pesky HOA but why would an HOA tow a car with expired tags when it is parked in the owner’s driveway? It’s not illegal to have your own car parked in your own driveway if the tags are expired? Where else are you gonna park it?
The first criteria I give to my RE agent is no HOA. I have never been told that there were no houses available. My houses I bought were all built within the last 30 years.
Creeping around a house in Florida at 2:00 am? Bro’s lucky he didn’t get shot. Suburban Florida people are scared of everything and usually armed to the teeth.
Worst of all is that these people are paying for this to happen via monthly HOA fees. Chances are these folks were paying a couple hundred a month for the privilege of having their cars stolen.
Glad the second person called the cops, and glad the cops actually did the right thing there, but from the source article:
Shoot, I’ll never detail any car, I never want to be that anal-retentive or waste that much time.
“Why would I notice thousands of little scratches in my paint?”
I was a mobile horse vet for years. There was an emergency at a local show site with an out of state horse so they called me to attend. I was 2 hours away and suggested calling someone closer, but they insisted I come ASAP. I received no fewer than six calls during that time by four different people who were shocked I…
““I appreciate the fact that it’s drawing attention to the fact that we’d like people to slow down and not be on their phones”
I think it’s the law in just about every state at this point. And no, no one pays attention. That said there are studies that show even hands free calling is a distraction while driving. Though typically it’s the more brain taxing the conversation the more distracting it is.
Hands free calling is the law in my state.
Gonna raise your blood pressure right quick!
The complete, absolute deadpan commentary that accompanies that video is absolute comedy gold. Give that man a Marconi for this performance.
