I was never able to find them.

I’d be fine if this was President Ron Swanson, however we all know Ron Swanson would never run for higher office.

That state of Jefferson thing was such a clusterfuck. Half of the group was far left anarchists that didn’t want to live under the “conservative” CA government. Other half was the usual right wing “libertarians” that figured they deserved free land on which they’d build an economy in bumfuck CA enough to sustain its

So you’re saying....buy guns and ammo now?

As a kid that grew up in Asia, PC Engine was just as big as Nintendo and Sega consoles/games. But I can’t really see myself getting into this as much as the Analogue NT Mini.

I think of it more like someone that bought a Prius and in their mind canon they think it’s impressive like a Raptor, but not realizing that nobody is impressed by a Raptor (or a Cybertruck).

Hold on. So are we saying that normal Goldfish crackers aren’t supposed to appeal to me as an adult??

If they could adopt the Asian model for convenience stores here, then it would be a viable alternative. But Family Mart tried with Famima, which are now all closed. We were supposed to get a 7-11 with more prepared foods and it never happened.

You’re missing out on tofu skin, fried tofu, stinky tofu, etc... And you’re right that it’s not necessarily a meat replacement, it’s its own thing. Chinese food probably has the most diverse uses as well as different types, but all different Asian cuisines use it for its own purposes.

I think Eva Airlines has something similar on trans-Pacific flights. They include instant ramen bowls that the flight attendant will fill with hot water.

Italian bologna is really good.

It’s a lot like these cookies. It’s to make it look prettier for pictures. When someone gives me Sprinkles cupcakes, I scrape off 75% of the frosting at which point I’m left with what tastes like a plain cupcake.

Fries light well. Yeah that should be the default and would shut a lot of people up. But it is what it is at this point.

I’ve had Culver’s. I would be pissed if I paid $14 for it in a pub. It’s good enough, but it’s also not better than In N Out.

Thank you, Captain Obvious!

I recently bought these and they’ll be my go-to for now. They’re called Juantonio’s here. Nicely light and crispy. Good for nachos too. I think On the Border and Calidad are similar style, but Juanita’s are better.

I’ve grown to like the restaurant style chips made from cut up tortillas. I think it’s the layers. And also they hold up well for making chilaquiles. Harder to find commercially. But some of the Latino markets like Super A make great ones. For some reason I don’t really like the chips that are made directly into chips.

They used to sell them at Costco in SoCal. I did get a bag that was waaay over salted one time. But otherwise, they are one of the best chips around.

Utz > Planter’s > Target brand > Herr’s > others. And the Utz are greater by a pretty big margin for me. Out in CA, I can only get the cheese balls at Walmart and Total Wine. The only other Utz snacks we get are the Pub Mix at Costco. I have to order the chips directly from Utz smh.

That’s on them for looking down. If they hadn’t, then they wouldn’t have fallen.
