Our company decided to have everyone remote in to their work terminal from a cheap laptop. Not sure that would work for everyone, but we use software for 3D modeling for buildings with central files on our servers. This setup seems to have worked better than to have everyone try to access the server from a laptop Read more

I like Marie Sharpe’s. Has a way of adding heat without severely altering the flavor of the dish. Seems to compliment a pretty wide range of foods too. I like their “Beware Comatose Heat Level” which is spicy, although nowhere near as spicy as that name would imply.

Every morning I see this guy on TV campaigning for 2024. Within 3 days going from “We’re not going to do what SF is doing!” to “We’re now doing exactly what SF was doing a week ago but it’s totally different because of semantics! But this is totally my original idea that is better please vote Cuomo 2024.” He’s (D) Trum Read more

My sister in law follows restaurants and chefs pretty closely. She’ll send me a pic of her and someone and say “Guess who I met?”. I then have to reply “Some random white dude?” because I have no idea.

n/naka was great, but we didn’t have to put too much effort into getting the reservation. It was also shortly after the Chef’s Table episode came out, so was surprised how easy it was. I haven’t tried lately, but maybe I should. Read more

I grew up in Taiwan, when offal was a pretty normal part of our diet (sadly, the newer generations are not as into it). So the first time I heard about haggis, the reaction was more “Wait, it contains OATMEAL???? Otherwise it sounds pretty good. Read more

My aunt and uncle had one of these back when it came out. I thought it was so cool at the time.

Don’t worry, industrial hard surfaces were so 2010's. We’re now in 2020 where a new concept of ceiling tiles and some soft surfaces will revolutionize restaurant interior design. Although those hard surfaces are cheaper to install (except that the painted open ceilings are somehow more expensive than installing a drop Read more

I like the bitterness in chocolate, strong tea, coffee, most greens. But bitter melon just doesn’t work for me. I like vinegar, but citrus fruit sourness is hard to endure. Bodies are weird.

They were fresher during the craze as they couldn’t keep up with the orders. I recently got one and the chicken was smaller and dry. During the craze, they were always fresh out of the fryer and super juicy.

I dragged 3 people with me to Odaiba to see the Unicorn statue. Was worth it (for me). I’m envisioning dragging traveling companions to Yokohama now.
