It’s weird how simple and delicious it is. My favorite so far was at La Barbecue in Austin. But most of the shops  had similar, just some with white bread, and some on a bun.

Not the same, but the sliced brisket sandwiches I got in TX were about perfection for a bbq sandwich. Just a bun (usually potato bun), sliced brisket, onions, and dill pickle slices. I don’t use sauce, but it’s always available.

Who’s old enough to remember the old A1 add that “A1 makes a hamburger a steak burger!” As a kid, I was never able to test that theory. We had A1, but didn’t make burgers at home. As I got older, I never had A1 when making burgers at home.

I’d believe almost any weird rumor about Scientology, except that Tom Cruise one. There is no way Cruise has any less power in that cult than that other guy.

The Japanese cartoon version is one of the better versions I’ve seen. The old Saturday morning cartoon was pretty good too.

This is probably not a bad thing. Hopefully other states will follow suit and we’ll get better products for it.

Is the thick pita a Greek thing? I prefer the super thin pita that are used in many Middle Eastern restaurants. Or is it just a pita like bread that they happen to use?

Maybe went up in price. I’m all salted egg snacked out already, but I’ll check next time I’m at 99 Ranch. I also should check the Costco price on the salmon skin.

I’d imagine not having to redesign the car exterior (or fix any issues with initial design) and just concentrating R&D on their battery  tech helps too. Where traditional car companies have to refresh every 3-5 years, Tesla hasn’t changed their overall design in forever. New tech just needs to fit into the old design…

Dave’s is pretty good. I don’t get the crazy hype, but then again, there are much better places around LA, so it’s hard to get too excited for them. They definitely jumped on the Nashville Hot Chicken hype train in LA at the right time to cash in.

I read Highland Park and am thinking LA. If so, just a couple of miles east is San Gabriel where there are a lot of mostly Chinese supermarkets that should carry this for much less than $11. The salmon skin is even showing up at Costco. There are many different brands, but Irvin’s so far has the best salted egg yolk…

I’ve only heard of Wayback Burger because a gas station somewhere between LA and SF had one. I actually wanted to go try it but we just had In-N-Out about an hour prior. I’m also curious what the reasoning behind all the shade is.
