As a Chinese American who grew up in Asia, Chinese American restaurants have usually been a “don’t eat there unless no other choices are available”, I’d kind of welcome rolls and butter with a Chinese meal sometimes. Although I’m still traumatized by the rolls they used to give us at western style restaurants in

Are toaster oven air fryers as effective as the basket air fryers (or more effective)? I have an admittedly crappy convection toaster oven that does a pretty shit job. But I’m not sure if it’s a matter of the toaster itself being so crappy, or if all toaster type air fryers are inferior to basket types?

There are a lot of pizza joints in Italy that would disagree with you on either fruit or seafood.

Pineapple-Bacon-Jalapeno is my favorite pizza right now. It came out of Whole Foods of all the unlikely places.

That “monster dunk” was basically the old guy at the gym that used to play above the rim in his glory days.

I read they went from fresh making them in the back to reheating the frozen ones. That most likely explains what you’re noticing.

They’ve taken away the onion dispensers. But I have seen people load up the onions like in the photo (or worse).

You can. Or most food courts are outside before you enter.

Growing up, we were used to salted fish, but took the American disgust of anchovies to heart. Sometime in childhood, learned that they’re basically the same thing. My favorite fried rice is salted fish and chicken fried rice, which is a Cantonese dish (so if you order from non-Canto places it’s probably going to

I now firmly believe that all EV makers have decided “It’s called a blind spot anyway, so let’s just remove any possible way that you can physically see in that spot!”

Nothing about this sounds appealing. Why can’t we stick to the basics like horchata with cold brew?

Funny enough, Volvo is doing test drive only studios for their new EVs. It’s so much easier to just go in, test drive, and then contact a dealer yourself to buy the car IF you like it. And the folks giving you the test drive will answer questions but they don’t care if you like it or not. Also got free drink and

This works especially well with TB burritos because they’re so liquid inside (meat or beans). it helps to prevent a mess when eating while driving. Or so I’ve been told.

I was at AX on Day 1 (Fri). They started letting the crowds into the Convention Center before the exhibit hall opened. So everyone was crowded in the main lobby waiting for the exhibit hall to open. I was upstairs where it was less crowded but still not great. The photo I took of the downstairs looks like a textbook

For architects, the best jobs are where you finish (and get paid for) the design, but it never goes into construction.

I will call Stevens’ wiener a hot dog to his face, while I’m eating his wiener....wait...that didn’t sound right.

I agree that American is generally the best cheese for most burgers. I feel like it’s always something that you can have. Where some other cheeses get more application specific to really outshine American. Side note: why is yellow American different than white American? I thought they were supposed to be the same

I honestly think Boebert ran and won to be AOC’s foil. At least AOC’s heart is in the right place, but she seems to have either a childlike naivete or is just another grifter.

My main reason for staying away from Tesla has been cost. It’s about $10K higher than a comparable vehicle (although range and charging infrastructure do make up for that somewhat) and that federal tax credits are no longer available for them. So I’m gritting my teeth on range (and availability) of other options

The only times I can stand sweet relish are in 1000 Island and tartar sauce. And I’m not sure if tartar sauce is dill relish.
