Chehalis is bisected by I-5, about 5 miles south of Tacoma, on the flatter-than-flat stretch that goes from Seattle to Portland. The only mountains in Washington are the Cascades to the east and the Olympics to the west, and the Olympics hardly get any snow (as well as most of what’s west of the Cascades).
