You can get dye- and perfume-free laundry detergent under the Costco house brand for something like $0.10/load, though. This shit isn’t rocket science.

We used to at least be able to use accreditation to have a little leverage to get things-now the official standards (at least in New England) have been gutted so that the library doesn’t have a separate standard (meaning you can cut it and provide minimal money for it). People complain about the services and

That’s exactly what I said. There is a donor out there who would fund the scoreboard. They just don’t want to wait. Agree with you a kabillion percent.

I have worked with the UNH library before, for my job. I can assure you that they are amazing and also desperately in need of funds, as are most university libraries. This is a horrible decision and UNH deserves all the public shame they are receiving over it.

“The closeted perv has never come out as gay”

Because he very well may not be; being a child predator /= gay. Abusive sex is about power, not identity.

This, maybe?

It’s 100% a corset, either separate from—but more likely built into—the dress. Ginger’s comment about gothic architecture isn’t far off.

Flying boobtrusses

I’m guessing the interior of such gowns looks like the architecture of a gothic church, complete with flying buttresses.

Nah. He is trying to insinuate that her visit was for an abortion. So every time he has jerked it he has aborted children. Thanks for playing!

Uh, sounds like this was during a time period where the University could and should have been involved. Did you not want to make a thing of it or were they just unresponsive?

I’m no policy wonk, but ending the drug war, making mental health care and addiction treatment more accessible, and more needle exchanges would be a start.

Ugh yes, I’m not THAT short but it’s so hard to find a small used road bike. Also, on tri bike, many pacelines don’t allow them.

Oh, I soon found out that $1600 really wasn’t all that much haha. I’d just never known anyone really into cycling, so I wasn’t aware how expensive it could get.

My brother had a similar situation: Stepson (3 yo) with absentee father who moved to a new state once or twice a year to avoid child support.

Weatlthy western burbs, like Naperville have had a serious drug problem in the last 5 or so years. Dealers in the inner city say that their best customers are suburban teenage boys. The police are still completely unprepared to handle it.

It’s not heroin, its carfentinal, and the public isn’t aware because the problem with this drug only just started about 3 weeks ago. I live in downtown Cincinnati, I’ve seen 6 overdoses in a 2 block radius around my apartment in the last few weeks. You’d think a bomb had just gone off with the number of sirens I’ve

“The poison known as heroin has taken a strong grip on many communities not just ours, the difference is we are willing to fight this problem until it’s gone and if that means we offend a few people along the way we are prepared to deal with that.”

I live in the Chicago area (close northern suburb) and it is common knowledge that the further north (and deeper into the wealth) one goes, the worse the problem gets. And this isn’t isolated to the wealthy northern suburbs.
