Yeah, it’s a bunch of corporate schmutz, like the crowds during prime time, but after 11pm the US Open is the best tournament, hands down. When you have players battling away past midnight, with some lively NY’ers in the crowd, it’s the most interesting tennis you will see. 

No, it isn’t. Endurance is part of being an athlete, and it’s fine t have it play a role in the matches. I wish the women’s matches would be longer so that the big hitters that can’t really move, and have no conditioning (cough Serena, cough) would be exposed. 

If you have been watching the tournament, you will see that many of them have clearly struggled. As in, they would simply stop running and give up on points, and slouch over afterward with pained expressions.

Yeah, soccer/football gives you a break at halftime, but they are working much harder during each half, and…

These guys are world-class athletes. It still doesn’t explain why they had so many issues. 

But why are these tennis players struggling so much? Cyclists are riding for much longer periods, and soccer/football players are playing at a higher intensity for 90 minutes with no breaks.
