Without spoilers, I’ve heard reception to this film was very divisive in Japan. I’m curious what the Western reception will be like, given that Dragon Quest is less of a cultural touchstone here.

You know who would really love a Sonic the Hedgehog movie for adults? 12 year olds.

I thought they weren’t doing any more mega evolutions...

You are wise to lose that hope.

I’m losing hope that we’re ever getting that ole SNES JRPG goodness on Switch.

All I want is FFXV but with like, the story stuff added into the actual game. The gameplay was so fun. The world was interesting. And the final sequence of the game hit me right in the heart. But I was so pissed off every time a cutscene came about, and it became the equivalent of somebody telling me the Cliffnotes of

You have the correct mentality here. Your friend being that judgmental about something as inconsequential as Forza and a new car shows he may have his own issues to sort out. Keep him away from casinos for sure.

I definitely agree that they’re bland. The character designs in FF I-VI are literally art (I once went to one of Amano’s shows and seeing the works in person was amazing).

XIII-2 was the first one since IX that didn’t annoy me. It’s a Pretty Good game, even if the fighting with captured monsters bit does get a bit empty.

We call him “Space Pope”. XD

Oof, going from the SNES to FFVII was hard in terms of figuring out where you could go. My cousin and I were stuck in the area between Aeris’s house and Sector 7 for like, two hours because we couldn’t figure out that this little pink pipe was something we could walk on.

I’ll maintain that VIII is probably my least favorite of the Squaresoft-era Final Fantasies. I was 16 when it released and despite being the target demo (16 year old girls who could fawn over Squall and appreciate the love story), I thought the story was shit. I attempted to replay it last year thinking that maybe it

1) I still wish that Final Fantasy XI had been named Final Fantasy Online (and similarly XIV to Final Fantasy Online II), largely just because I don’t play MMOs and so I can’t say “I’ve beaten every main series Final Fantasy game” without adding “...well except for the online ones”. So I don’t dislike them so much as

I read the FF13 one, and though I did enjoy the “why you think you hate it” I feel like the rest glossed a hell of a lot over “oh btw, it’s also just an objectively terrible, terrible game”. You started waxing on about lore and trivia, when I couldn’t get invested enough to even begin to get into that.

If they made an entire game out of the first five or six hours of FF7, it’s certainly gonna be more than nine years before they’re done with the remakes, if ever.

Also, between my current slow replay of FF7 and seeing all the games in one place here, I’m realizing I haven’t like the character design of most of the

Reminds me of my situation with Smash Bros. Ultimate. I made it a point to gather up all the Spirits in the game (such a grindy endeavor, but I found satisfaction ) and since I don’t really play online, that was it for me. I would boot it up occasionally when a new character came out or when friends were over, but I

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

recently had a weird argument with forza bros about how i had “missed out” on a new car because i didn’t happen to play forza at all that week. i didn’t even know they were adding that car, and i currently have little desire to keep playing forza. i like the car! but i don’t feel i missed out on anything, other than a

Yep. That’s what the article is about.
