How do you mean? I’ve been on the fence about this game so I’m looking for feedback in either direction.

I did struggle to put Unfinished Swan on that list because I was immersed in the story (loved the coda it received in What Happened to Edith Finch), I just realize it was despite the gameplay rather than because of it.

I love Sony’s open invitation to smaller studios to do artful, experimental games like this, I just wish more of them were actually as fun to play as they are pleasant to look at. See: Entwined, Unfinished Swan, Bound, etc.

I’ve heard the same, and am equally bummed. Think I’m just going to accept that some collectibles will have to remain...uncollected. At least until a second playthrough down the road.

How’s everyone feeling about their Wyatt vs Fergus choice?

I picked Wyatt because he was the one I saved during my initial playthrough of Wolf:TNO so he fit into my own personal “canon”...but boy do I miss Fergus’ wit from my second playthrough. Makes me want to play through this one twice, too.

Do we know for sure that it’s open world yet?

Has it been confirmed that there even are present day segments in Origins?

On the surface I’m excited about this game, but then I remember the late-game burnout I experienced with both Dragon Quest Warriors 1 & 2. By the end of the story I was just ready for them to be over and didn’t want to touch the post-game. Had the same feeling with Dynasty Warriors 8. I think I just wish musou games

Reminds me of a weird glitch experience I had back in the day with Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. Game worked great until I got to the water dungeon (what is it with water temples in games?) I’d work my way through the dungeon, but every time the game got to a certain part of the song, it would freeze. Not a certain

I’m currently replaying Planescape: Torment for the first time in nearly 15 years. I adored it when it first released and have held it as one of my favorite isometric RPGs ever since.

You’re right, and I had forgotten how drab the opening areas of the game are. What really livens it up are the characters and dialogue,

Why not both? Switch for gaming on the go. PC for Zelda on your super rig.

I’m surprised that no people of color worked on this project, a project that seemed to call for that perspective even more than most. I’m ignorant of the makeup of the modern D&D writing team, but does Wizards of the Coast just not currently employ any people of color in their creative department? If not, why not? The

Weren’t the Halflings cannibals in Dark Sun? That always gave me a chuckle.

That mechanic hasn’t been around since the late ‘90s, before 3d edition launched. Have to say I wasn’t sorry to see it go.

I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by events. I guess I’m used to the “complete a point on the map and it’s done forever” type open world games but these events cycle endlessly, each with its own little countdown.

I get I should do these from time to time just to explore the content, but am I missing out on a lot by

Monco,

Whenever I get the urge to rage at someone over the internet, I get up and take a look in the mirror instead. Usually I find that it isn’t the topic at hand or the stranger over the internet that I’m angry and bitter about, but rather something that makes me unhappy about myself or my life.

Talking down to

Kinda hate that level cap increases are gated behind paid content, but otherwise these sound interesting.

I love this game too, but it’s just that some of us don’t have time in our lives for the “try, try again” style of gameplay. When gaming time is limited, some would rather explore or experience something new rather than play the same level over and over until we figure out the pattern and get it right. To each their

I’ve been afraid to buy a Switch yet because I feel like a hardware revision might be in the cards during the next year or two. This console feels more like a DS/3DS situation (with its endless procession of Lites, 2DS’s and “New” 3DS’s) than the one-and-done Wii or Wii U. I could be wrong and I hope I am, for the

I had no idea about the waypoint minimap thing. Thank you!
