My desire to check real estate prices was driven largely by some wings and beans I ate at Martin’s.

I was in Nashville for a conference last year and was impressed by the city in general. Out of curiosity, I checked out real estate and was pretty blown away by how expensive it was. I live in a pretty hot up-and-coming market and expected it to be comparable or cheaper, but NOPE.

It’s about 110,000 now.

Inherited it 5 years and 50,000 miles ago.

Literally waiting at this moment to hear from the shop about my head gasket repalcement being finished on my ‘07 Forester.

The Pinto is the first family car I remember, so I have a nostalgia loyalty there.

The “this is too mainstream now” argument is sooooo tired. If you were only into a thing because it was underground and edgy, then you, too, were liking it for the wrong reasons.

Nothing says entitlement like feeling entitled to someone else’s oppression.

In Salt Lake, using your snowblower for someone you know uses a shovel. Less universal, but definitely a thing, when hiking, to step off the trail for mountain bikers to pass. Hikers technically have right-of-way, but it’s just less of a hassle for hikers to step off for a moment. It’s always appreciated.

As much as I wish the US would get on the metric bandwagon, Fahrenheit is a better scale for atmospheric temperature. It is calibrated from 0 -100 by range of habitability (roughly) rather than on the freezing and boiling of water which makes sense for science but is not very useful for the weather report. Hey, don’t blame me, I voted for the other person whose name I just had to google even though that was only like 9 months ago.

I live in Utah and I did a double-take at a “Senator Romney” headline the other day. Kinda forgot we did that.

I have a friend from Bat Cave. I knew her for years before I was convinced she wasn’t messing with me.

#6 - Hell Yes. I’ve worked in something like 20 restaurants and the ones I did well in were the ones where I was in good with the back of the house and the one I did great in was the one where the chef and the sous were the guys I played poker and went camping with.

A few years ago I changed jobs and locations within my organization. About 6 months into the new job I took my first hard look at my paystub and realized I’d been paying for a parking spot I wasn’t using. I got it all refunded and basically gave myself a $75 a month raise.

The idea that hydrogen is “easier to ingegrate into our current gasoline and diesel infrastructure” tells me that the author knows very little about how hydrogen actually works. Hydrogen is not a liquid at room temperature and standard pressure and therefore requires entirely new infrastructure for delivery, storage,

Agreed. From a “Reduce your carbon footprint” standpoint, it totally checks out, while maintaining that impossible-to-duplicate animal fat quality. I’ll try one.

If it comes in a box from the freezer section, it’s highly processed.

The membership and app and activation process of public charging is just so ridiculous and cumbersome. Please just let me walk up and swipe a card like a gas pump.

Do you like watching your co-workers do their jobs when you’re not at work? No? I would think she has a very similar perspective on watching MCU movies.
