Chronology kills your argument, sir. He had already earned his pass by the time he became everyone's huckleberry.

That is, admittedly, not always the top draw.
I haven't seen it, but the only reason I ever will is because she's in it.
I think I vaguely remember that, but I don't think it's a real diagnosis. Like I said, it sounds like sociopathy, or the way a sociopath might describe themselves.
Any movie Margot Robbie in its cast makes that patently untrue.
That was my first Joker, I think, which is why the Romero and Nicholson versions always made sense to me.
Yeah, I'm not doing that? I agree overall with the impressions those people have, but I even say in my above comment that his performance could be good enough to change my feelings. But he's starting with a handicap, for sure.
Is supersanity a fun new word that also means sociopath?
From where I'm sitting, we're both talking about feelings and impressions we got. Yours was positive, mine was overwhelmingly negative.
My problem with it is that it feels like the most obvious take on any generic psycho killer in an any random "edgy" thriller, just with a Joker sheen on top. It's entirely possible the performance will justify the appearance, but it's going to have to be far more interesting than what was shown in that trailer.
It would be pretty funny if the overload of snark between Iron Man, Ant-Man, and Star-Lord caused Thanos to just snap.
A real Joker would be so debilitated by insanity that he couldn't pull off any of his wacky or dangerous schemes.
The pencil trick in The Dark Night is pretty funny. Nicholson had the right patter for a Joker making himself laugh. Romero was funny in the same way all the characters on that show were, but good point that he didn't rock the boat.
It's interesting, because while I'm not in love with her look beyond being a heterosexual man, what we've seen of her performance really does seem to have nailed the original cartoon character. Clearly they're sexing her up, but the base line personality seems the same. Leto's Joker is all over the place.
The character design isn't doing him any favors.
Well, there was that one photo of Ledger coming to set in full Joker regalia… riding a skateboard. It didn't last, but there were definitely a few snickers then. Some milk ways, too.
Jared Leto's awful what? Awful what?!
His Free Pass role was Mad Mardigan, god damn it!
Yes, in every comic I've read, or every movie and TV show I've watched, the Joker's go-to line is always "Fuck you." Leto gets it.
Yeah, I'd have gone with Chazwuzzers.
