I think he’s referring to the idea of picking your locations and stunts first, and then the specific plot details later. I think that’s perfectly acceptable in a stunt-based movie like Mission Impossible, though. I don’t really watch these movies for the fresh plots and intrigue, but for the well-done action and fun…

Yeah, and I don’t especially blame Scarlett Johansson or Tilda Swinton, either. I understand the criticisms, but I think the problems there are from the industry, not from the performers, and I don’t think they’re especially egregious examples of whitewashing regardless.

John Krasinski has a funny story he shared on Kimmel or something where he went to audition for being Captain America and had to do a shirtless scene. He was feeling pretty good about himself until Chris Hemsworth walked by.

I’d say the Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth bods are pretty unachievable.

As someone who doesn’t generally doesn’t like metal, I really like Deafheaven, though more for their post-rock and shoegaze influences than their more hardcore aspects.

I would throw Legion on this list, too. I know some people have felt this season was a step down in quality, but I’ve still found it regularly breathtaking.
