Yeah, that's the point I strive to bring across to other parents. It's not about the violence or the swearing or the blood or the sex. It's about putting the child through an emotional situation that they just aren't old enough for.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I want to take parenting advice from the dude who has worked at Gamestop for TEN YEARS.
I love the things that people like Mike from Penny Arcade are doing to educate parents about game ratings and games that are good or bad for kids. I love that the ESRB has been pumping out more advertisements to raise awareness of game ratings.
I love this kind of stuff, and if I were in Beijing (or if there were any nearby), I'd totally do it.
It reminds me a little of another interactive experience I regret missing out on, a New York play called "Sleep No More", which was basically an interactive, explorable environment-based version of Macbeth.
