You mean like, working for Deadspin?

Or incorporate it into a bike lock with which they hit people.

If you keep asking for evidence to support claims, why haven’t you shown any evidence that GM’s bankruptcy was in fact caused by mismanagement and that unions didn’t play a role in it? Oh, right, evidence is for other people to provide...

It’s never worth arguing with good old EFT (Current Edgy Addition to Handle) - the embodiment of Asperger’s that argues on literally every single Jalopnik article until the end of time.

There you go again. I suppose it’s a good substitute for having an actual argument. If a source doesn’t agree with your preferred version of the truth, simply cry bias and cover your ears. I’m sure you have some alternative facts to go with your childishness.

Financial newspapers. And I like the numerous logical fallacies (ad hominems, poisoned wells, etc) you’ve tried to introduce into the discussion.

Please do show where in the original comment is any name calling?

So your justification for starting off with an insult and personal attack is “other people do it too”? Pretty weak rationale, especially when I have made no insults against you.

Umm yeah? Trade protections have been dropping for over a generation, and the greatest beneficiary of that has been ... the United States. One business in the US might be adversely effected, but other industries find markets that were closed to them for decades. Trade protections only slow trade on all sides. They do

“suffered from many layoffs and plant closings.”

Not intended as an insult. Plenty of commentary that the legacy pension commitments were just too onerous. However, I do need to be fair and point out the unions were actually trying very hard to work with management to stave off bankruptcy.

It’s lifted the top quartile. The 1% get a good deal, but the top 25% do too.

And the fact that it is “share” of income. Median income (not this “share” construct) on an inflation adjusted basis climbed slightly.

So union membership halved and the “share” of income fell a little.

Data is always manipulated for the viewer/listener. There is always a bias in how observers interpret information, and how the data is presented will push the observer’s interpretation one way or the other.

GM also had poor management. But you can’t deny the pensions etc. played a role in their troubles.

Life expectancy has also gone up as union membership has dropped. Really makes you think.

I love the snark from a journalist in an NYC office. It’s almost as if workers like not having another slice of their paycheck taken away, but I mean — you know best!

Ban unions, decrease crime.

Wow, a powerful message. Until you look at the axes and realize it’s manipulated BS.
