I think B-minus is too generous.

Ummm...Agnes died in episode 5. Also, Herbert woke up in bed to see the gun pointed at his face, seconds before he was shot; he wasn’t killed in his sleep.

He’s an actor, not a political analyst. He doesn’t have to endorse candidates and people really shouldn’t care if he does. But he also doesn’t have to loudly announce that he is staying out of it if that’s what he wants to do. If you don’t want to say anything, then just don’t say anything. Don’t announce that you

I don’t find it gratuitous, it’s actually rather refreshing to see a show not shy away from the combat of war at all. People did take heads from the corpses of their fallen enemies and cannon combat is not supposed to be pretty. The violence on the show is always done purposefully, not gleefully. This isn’t some anime

not at all to be the resident Annoying Book Person, but all of this stuff is right there in the original text. for whatever limitations of POV Clavell may have had as a white Englishman of the mid-20th century, his work had an incredible level of compassion and empathy for the women in such a hierarchical,

These stories are the most compelling, which makes it all the more frustrating that the show moves at such a breakneck pace. Many of the referenced scenes are measured in the seconds. It’s like watching a gotdamn Lego movie, or the final season of game of thrones.

What a beautifully produced show with a compelling story.

No, thank you.

Four seasons and a musical.

It felt more ending than cliffhanger to be honest, Hosts live forever in AI heaven when humanity dies off

A lot of those jobs aren’t going to come back.

But they don’t work, and never will without massive infrastructure support and a universal system independent of manufacturers. Safety was not the driving factor behind self-driving. It was always about not paying drivers.

That was really cute. Next, you should try your corporate shill routine in front of some of the thousands of people who have already lost their jobs to AI.

AI is an augmentation, not a replacement.

Will it be full of comments about the actual articles/topics like when it started, or will it be like it was at the end with most commenters just attacking each other/the writers/the world?

The new Splinter is also pay to comment so there are basically no comments.

Agreed. Maybe getting rid of slideshows is the first step in getting things back to being somewhat respectable. Of course, I saw Paste is relaunching Splinter, which I’m curious to see how that turns out. Will it be full of comments about the actual articles/topics like when it started, or will it be like it was at

Ask any copywriter or content writer you can find. AI is already replacing jobs, not well or effectively, but it is doing it. Why? Because quality is no competitor to free labor. No matter what.

Do people really believe that corporations, when faced with paying a human or using AI, will choose to continue paying wages when there’s a free option?

Are they gonna make AVC subscription-based like they did with Jezebel and Splinter? Because 1) If Teti or O’Neal or whoever had asked for readers to do that back during the site’s glory days to avoid being bought out by Univision in the first place, I would have gladly said yes, but not for this husk and disemboweled v
