Good advice. I’ve had only positive experiences with AirBnB, and really enjoy using it, esp. compared to hotels (bleh).

We have to use 3 days of PTO before wecan use a single hour of sick time. Guess who comes to work sick all the time? Everyone that I work with, that’s who.

i’ll just wait for *your* estate sale

i got a new battery (for freeeeeeeee) and plan to turn off the throttle. i ran Geekbench before/after new battery and saw a 43% increase in score. i’ll risk an occasional shut down for that kind of bump in performance.

I don’t idle for 5 minutes in the cold (30 seconds seems fine to me), but I do drive lightly until the engine is warmed up. On my 15 y/o Forester you can hear and feel the difference once it’s warmed up.

“Just as a reminder...” about anything you are telling me for the first time ever. Just don’t, OK?

Here is a way to get a cheap(ish) coffee without annoying the baristas (probably...maybe). Using the app order espresso and then add creamer and select the “extra splash” option for whatever milk you like. This isn’t quite a “latte”, but it’s close, it’s cheap, and it’s full of caffeine. If you do it hot it will be

I’m on Verizon’s prepaid plan: $45+tax gets you unlimited talk+text and 3GB if you use autopay, 2GB if you don’t. Their service is amazing here in Houston. I’ve heard ATT is better now than they were, but also appear expensive.

My ‘04 Forester 4EAT lurches at red lights if left in gear, so I put it in neutral. I just hate having to step on the brake so hard to keep it still. I drive so little that the extra wear (if any) is acceptable. If the tranny dies it’s time for a new car ;)

Even in an “affordable” city like Houston it’s unrealistic for most folks to even consider a 15-year mortgage. Suburbs sure, but if you don’t want to hate your life commuting everyday and you aren’t rich then a 30-year is probably your only option. If you happen to get rich at some point you can always refinance. This

yes to both. Sierra has been very stable. Calendar was giving me some issues, but i was able to resolve them. iOS10 is a lot buggier. lots of slow downs throughout the day, and the occasional freeze. some apps dont really work (like Zillow), some have glitches (like Google Maps), but overall it’s pretty good. no

Besides native notifications, what is better than the free (and excellent) Xcello?

“It’s surprising that the health care industry had the lowest satisfaction ratings for maternity and paternity leave.” Not if you work in healthcare its not. We get the same as most people - not fired for 12 weeks and that’s it.

I hope you are doing your MACRA reading this weekend :)

I also work in HIT as a Meaningful Use program manager. Some of this stuff CMS is forcing your doctor to do, so don’t be all that impressed. They receive significant reductions in their reimbursement if they do not comply. I’m the guy that gets to tell the doctors they need to use the technology, and show them how
