Is a remake or is it an adaption? Those are two different things. There’s no way it could be the same / as good as the original. Somebody else is making it. The actors are different. It’s live action. You aren’t supposed to go into this expecting the exact same film.

I’m sure this is pretty much what everyone else is responding with but before I read those and lose interest in replying I have to say that this opinion really depends on what you expect from Shenmue III.
