Definitely so-so on the album, but I saw Mr. Krol and his band play an AMAZING live show at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland. They were opening for Mac McCaughan (who was also great), and they rocked so hard - and were super-tight - with so much energy and fun. Really inspiring, so I had to take this opportunity to rave

"That's the joke."

Only listening party I ever attended was the day Kid A came out. I tried to resist listening to the album beforehand, but broke down and checked out the first three songs before the party. 15 years ago…(OMG)

I did it a few months back - but had to get the physical DVDs. Neither version really did it for me, but I enjoyed some of the period-specific aspects of the original (like the ending).

This 70s era Beatles you allude to intrigues me…

Just started listening to Salad Days last month, and am digging it. May have to check this one out too.

But on the other hand, no Phil singing Jerry tunes… (and I say this as a big Phil fan, with the reprise of Dancing In The Street from P&F 2/18/2001 set as my ringtone)

Haters gonna h—shit I'll just show myself out now.

Hell yeah

Nothing odd about that, mate. Though this Taylor Swift covers album might be a teensy bit odd…

Good ol' "Cane"! I was bummed when it fizzled. Victim of the writer's strike, as I recall…

Shouldn't Stampy Longnose be (starring in and) directing this?

And "Star Wars" is the name of one of my favorite Ryan Adams songs! But seriously, I'm pretty excited for this new Wilco album!

Gonna have to check out Chicago #1 first, then. Phil's earned his right to sing, so I try not to give him too hard a time… I just try to sing along (loudly) so I can't hear his low droning bellow as well.

I saw the film first too. Loved the show, didn't mind missing out on the central mystery at all, there's so much else that is mysterious in the show anyhow!

And Adventure Time!

Right now I'm thinking Crystal Pepsi might be responsible for Eddie's throat cancer.

The 'quote marks' are KEY!

I find pun threads to be Drain-ing.

He just pulled it out of his Astoria. (I'm no good at these pun threads, but as an Oregonian…)
