There’s still people who blame 9/11 on Bill Clinton. There even was a movie (9/11 documentary made for TV that premiered on ABC) about how Bill Clinton had the chance to assassinate Bin Laden but let it go because there were too many potential casualties. Nevermind the infamous 9/11 memo about pilots of Arabic origin…

And yet, our social lives and depth of communication were just as rich back then as they are today.

Well, there have been a couple things; one Syrian refugee held a fundraiser for the Fort McMurray Fire victims, another guy is opening a clothing store, and some Syrian kids are learning to skate and play hockey. Obviously all part of their insidious plan to eventually rise up and take over the country.

So, there’s essentially nothing different. There’s no security justifications, still. He’s narrowing the parts that the courts have already invalidated and already aren’t in practice. This won’t stop any of the lawsuits. It’s pure PR bullshit, optics. But this facade is fooling his racist goddamn base.
