My favorite shot is probably going to be ‘razor card,’ but overall, I didn’t think the direction from Esposito was anything special, I’m sorry to say. But I’m a little down on this episode. Even with another flashback, we don’t learn anything about Kim we didn’t already know.

Commercials have been such an annoyance these past few seasons, I don’t watch the show live anymore.⏩ is the best thing to happen to television since the switch from dial to remote control.

The movies have relied so much on Sparrow, that they are trapped. At best, this could have been a franchise filled with colorful characters to where they wouldn’t have to rely on one guy. And to their credit, they tried (kinda?) but nobody else really took. This franchise should have been Star Wars on the Seven Seas,

The announcement of this spin-off has had me concerned because the very existence of it, and everything I’m hearing about it- is the also the type of thing Daria would have made fun of.

It might seem like a small detail, but I think this is a good point and an important difference.

The bomb app was amazing. After he was all ready to go, the queued image on his phone that is was still ‘pairing’ was pretty hilarious

Buffalo Wild Wings. To “try all the sauces.” As comedy writing it’s a funny enough ‘gotcha!’ moment, but it’s the menacing, sardonic delivery by Fernando that’s gold.

... And Barry has to move out, thus leaving Sally alone... at the address Fuchs is offering up for revenge...

In general, I’m not a fan of ‘are you Black enough?’ conversations if they aren’t going to be nuanced, and this really wasn’t. It almost gets there when he meets the Nigerian kid (‘sup!) but it’s a missed opportunity because there is a conversation to be had between African-Americans who know their decent and African

Trini 2 de Bone is basically about a ghost, so I think it applies. (The kid gave off Sixth Sense vibes, at times too.)

Their version of Jason Todd seems way off to me

I still think Knight is graphically one of the best-looking games of that gen. But yea. Not good. And it wasn’t just the Bat Tank. The story was a huge letdown too. The only things I really like about the game are some of the sidequests (Professor Pyg!) and a bunch of admittedly cool DLC

That would have been fun. But it also would speak to the funny feeling I’m getting that this phase of the MCU has become more fan servicey because they don’t have anything else to lean on. Harry Styles pops up as a character in Eternals why?

I’ve actually always thought Marvel’s casting choices were weird, and takes seeing them in context to win me over. Almost every time.

The creation of that special plaque was really neat, and usually intros with those kinds of extended visual flourishes can signal impending doom for whoever ends up connected with it. In this case, that person has already died (Werner), so this was a bit of a misdirect. Or was it? As the piece of information Lalo

Even though I game, I am not at all about the esports scene and this show looks to highlight every reason why. This could be a hilarious watch, or an insufferable one

Is Doctor Strange the lead avenger now? The movies seem to revolve around him the way they used to for Tony. Besides, the other heavy heroes are either dead or off-planet. Or children. I only ask because his 3rd eye is gross. Comics or not, I hope that isn’t a permanent thing

That’s interesting, especially this gem about going to the on-set father, Dan Lauria for help: “Monique, you know [Fred] has been in love with you since you started with the show…you should be his first.”

I thought that’s what it was by the title, too, but a character in the movie clears it up: It’s not that the “Asians” are “Crazy” and they’re “Rich”. It’s that the Asians aren’t just rich, they’re very rich. Crazy rich. An important distinction.

I want Lorraine to stick around. Great character. Made quite an impression.
