Just now read this article, so sorry it’s a late response. Here’s software I’ve used and bought. I set it up as a music system at a hotel for an internal meeting once or twice, and it worked pretty well.

I do AV unfortunately, primarily using 20 year old technology, consisting mostly of “band-aid” fixes to the equipment. When I talk to people who work here about the old equipment and when it’ll be replaced with new equipment, I say, “It is was it is, till it isn’t what it was.” My way of saying in a nice way, “Yes,

Two weeks ago, the fans in my freezer/refrigerator (renter at an apartment) were making more noise than usual. I was heading on vacation, and had planned to clear out the “spoilable” foods that I had in there so I wouldn’t lose anything food-wise. I left the freezer/refrigerator doors open and turned off at the

I work onsite below at NCTC in West Virginia, and during orientation of employees, the director of the site mentioned a horse racing track that used to exist onsite near the entrance. You can see the elongated circle closeby to GPS coordinates below

Sorry, a little late to respond to you. Overall, not sure the reasoning, but I believe it was announced the site would cease operation August 1st back in June.

I remember I had been running a streaming radio station on live365.com, it was “WHTN Radio,” “What the Hell is That goddamn Noise Radio.” i still have that station’s website on my computer for my own entertainment to look back on :)

itrackmine.com. It was a site that you could keep inventory of your movies/books/music/games and whatever else you wanted to keep track of. what worked out well for me is that I was able to get barcodes quickly and have a report for insurance for the movies/games/accessories I had in my car when my car was broken into.

I do, both at work and at home. At work, because the internal control programs/network aren’t allowed to be on the work-wide network computers due to security concerns. At home, I have my work/play computer and then also have a media server (Plex) running on a second computer— I have TeamViewer and VNC abilities

Me too, but Mechassault softmod :)

I’m on Windows Phone currently, but due to several banking companies and other apps having been discontinued earlier this year, I’m VERY close to jumping ship to iOS. I say that as a WP user since Windows Phone 7 in 2012, and now on Windows Phone 8.1. I’m waiting out till hopefully the end of the year for the Windows

Rather than use a bag of ice to pre-chill, the last few times I’ve used my cooler, I’ve been sticking the plastic part of my cooler into the freezer along with the ice. Seemed to work well on a 20 hour auto train ride from Orlando to Washington DC.

I never had these specifically, but these were awesome to me (the ones I had, the frequent use caused the wire to become detached from the headphones). The speaker is on your ear, but rather than resting and being held within the ear canal, the plastic piece wraps around to the back of your ear.

there actually is something similar to ninite for macs! I'm posting from an ipad and feeling lazy, so I'm not going to link to an article on lifehacker/gizmodo I found it on, but the website is: http://getmacapps.com/

I've got a 290 song playlist on XBox Music of ambient songs. They're a mix of various instrumental types: some game soundtracks (The Last of Us, Color Zen), acoustic guitar (Andy McKee), The Piano Guys, a Chill/Ambient CD I found online, Smart DJs of Marc Antoine and Jim Brickman, and All India Radio. try a few sites, fanart.tv has at a minimum requirement of covers being at a resolution of 1000x1000, and the images go through an approval process for quality. musicbrainz.org is a wikipedia like option for images, you may get good images or low quality.

I'm so glad newer laptops generally have the headphone jack on the left or right of the base instead of the front, like on this one.

The other is if you have issues with your connection, you're on your own, the cable company probably remotely check the modem

There isn't an MS Authenticator app on iOS or Android, but there is a Google Authenticator app on iOS/Android.

Not a big one, but I'd recommend having a cable modem, router, and/or satellite/cable box connected to a UPS rather than just a surge protector. Since you said it, the NAS connected too would be nice. ;)
