Djimon Hounsou near about stole the episode for me.

Fuck sake I need a new site. I haven’t found a site that matches av club, or has the same amount and variety of content.

This is not 3D CGI, dude. It’s cel shading. Do you really think this looks like Jimmy Neutron or something?

I’m as big a Peggy Carter fanboy as anyone, but this episode was way better than last week’s. I didn’t think Hayley Atwell did as convincing a job as Captain Carter as she has in the other Marvel properties, and the action and plotting seemed pretty rote, as if the writers were determined to touch every plot button

I’m halfway through this episode and it’s the most fun I’ve had watching a Marvel thing since Endgame.

rest in power, King.

Well, I’m glad to see they’ve decided to revive the What If ... ? TV show but I can see they’re playing it more safe this time.

From the previews I’m getting the impression this will mostly be What If...Women?!? And while that’s great I’m beyond ready for Actually Women! Without an Asterisk!

I thought it was a bit old hat that they killed Sean Bean’s character in the opening credits.

What's up with 2021 and it deciding to form a Sparks Cinematic Universe?

Full name: Mary Annette

So would Matt Johnson’s new band be called “The” or “The The The?

Isn’t that also where the nuke was headed during DKR?

Now playing

My favorite King Shark is Ron Funches depiction in the Harley Quinn show. He manages to wrap up the beastly, the idiotic, and the funny sides of the character into one charming package.

As an aside, since Gunn is taking elements of the Ostrander and Yale run of Suicide Squad, I wanna talk about one of the most long term consequences of Suicide Squad: Reintroducing Barbara Gordon as Oracle.

Gunn punctuates Harley’s big action-hero sequence with bright blooms of CGI flowers that spurt out of the wounds of the men she’s killed. The set piece makes sense as a glimpse into Harley’s demented mindset, but it’s also so bone-crunchingly, mind-numbingly violent that it raises the question of whether this is a

As for packaging...

Not a bad album once you get past the messy title track. I think you nailed late Price, Noel. He was a master composer and band leader, but putting together song sequence and art for albums was not one of his skills. We were lucky to get Art Official Age in 2014. Most of Prince’s albums after 1996 are messy and uneven.

I loved Richard Grant’s version.

So I recently did a deep-dive into the albums of the Beatles, collective and solo, from 1962 to about 1996 (up to the Beatles anthology, basically, and full disclosure - I pretty much didn’t bother with Ringo’s solo stuff), and if you’ve had enough of musical legends offering in-depth breakdowns of their hits and are
