I found the new Horde mode to be significantly less fun than the one in Gears 3. Placing equipment in pre set places works better when the map is well designed. I played one too many games with idiots placing turrets behind obstructions, or people spending our group cash on dumb shit.

OMG, Gears 4 is 125 GB on my SSD and still growing. I’m thinking I need to migrate this over to a HDD.

IT pros get paid less than programmers on average. The US nationwide average annual salary for “Software Developers and Programmers” is $100k. The average for “Database and Systems Administrators and Network Architects” is $89k. “Computer Support Specialists” is $57k. These are from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

*shrug* quick google search for average game developer salary was ~$70k, (which suggests that is a decent average for any functioning subslice) and I would NOT assume that most of the team is programmers. I’d assume a significant number of artists, modelers, animators, designers, etc. I’d guesstimate 1/3rd are

Not really on the high side, if your figure is right. Average salary for a game programmer with 3-6 years of experience, according to this survey, is $93,581. Beyond that, and you’re getting into the six-figure side. I would assume that programmers comprise the bulk of his team.

(a) That’s definitely not on the high side for engineers. (b) That doesn’t account for employee expense unpaid to employees such as insurances and taxes - like 15-20% of salary on top of what they pay out in annual. (c) That assumes that this company has literally no other expenses, such as office space, equipment,

It was a lazy article. I watched twitch streams for longer than I want to admit before buying. Asked a lot of random streamers how the game was. Bought, played it, had fun. It has its issues but I am sure they will be fixed. Devs know of the potential and I know it will only get better. People blow off games too quick

Mics are a must have. Nothing better than hearing a teammate scream bloody murder then silence.. I get that it isn’t a game for everyone, bitching about launch issues is redundant this day and age. Shit happens just have to be patient.

It does. To my knowledge. You can defeat Jason in a number of ways. You can wait the (I think) 20 minutes. That’s the most difficult. You can find and repair the phone to call the cops. Then wait 5 minutes for them to show up and then you walk out the entrance they arrive at. You can repair one or both cars and drive

You can find walky talkys and that’s how you also talk to people.

By the sounds of it this is a game that has a bit more to it than what’s on the surface. I feel like once people explore and experiment with the game over the coming weeks, months people will learn how to play more strategically as both Jason and the camp counselors.

I would reserve judgement on this and not base it on this article. Not to say that the game is amazing or anything. I had fun during the beta, though it did have issues. I would check out the many games played on stream.

Proximity chat, and there are also radios you can pick up which allow you to talk over distance.

I would say this review is not indicative of the actual fun this game offers. There are a ton of people enjoying this game (check out the F13 Reddit.) You are supposed to work together, as the only way to kill Jason is through teamwork. If no one is communicating then of course the game will suck but I think this game

Not to mention the Walkie Talkies that allow you to communicate with other players who have found Walkie Talkies

The game is infinitely funner with game chat. Its proximity based, Jason can eavasdrop on people and hear your plans if close enough, and really the only way to coordinate anything and make a proper escape. How the author skipped on probably the most important part of the game and still did this write up is beyond me.

Dead by daylight has been active and popular for over a year so the concept clearly works. What I want to know is if the reviewer has any experience with that game, or if this first type of game she played and disliked the experience. Didn’t play dead by daylight, but it doesn’t sound like randoms who don’t work

She basically missed half the game by not going into gamechat.

There is in-game voice, but it’s proximity-based. You can only hear players close to you, and if Jason’s nearby he can eavesdrop on your plans. IMO it’s an integral part of the experience and adds a whole new level of depth, but there are definitely some issues to consider.

Pocket knife, fire crackers, and having another player hit Jason with a melee weapon can free someone who is captured by Jason. You can stun him with melee when he goes to crab you as well. Or shoot him with a flare gun or the rarer shotgun. If you team up. You can even kill Jason. The game needs some polish but the
