Sanders really isn’t all that far left. In much of Europe, he’d be considered moderate left. And in fact, if you ask people about his policies, most agree. Th problem is with establishment politicians and media constantly hammering home how everything he talks about is a pipedream, even though it all exists

Lmao. Dude, just edit your comment!

That movie was brilliant.

As someone from the Netherlands, even I am aware of the ridiculous “War on Christmas” myth that was invented by Fox News and originated I think on Bill O’Reilly’s show. They’ve just been running with it since.

Even if you consider it mediocre though... Does that mean it was one of the 20 WORST films?

“You know what’d drive a lot of clicks and discussion?”
“Wut?”
“Let’s put Joker in the Featured Image of our Worst Films of 2019 list!”

I never knew 7 was half of 100.

Late response, but I’ve been watching late.

I hated the Karla coda so much. I really connected with the character, and this just felt like a unnecessary and cruel add-on to her story that already ended with heartbreak and cruelty to spare.

Of course, you’re kinda leaving out the fact that the US has a not-so-small role in the poverty and instability in Latin America.

Not to mention Guardians of the Galaxy, which were the minorest of leagues.

Sure. Makes total sense.

If they win an award for the writing for the finale, I will simply take it as a writers backlash against the fan petition for a season remake.

That’s the thing though. A lot of people saw it coming that she would go mad queen. People are more frustrated about how they got her to that point. They made it both feel predictable AND out of character. There was a significant gap between what she had done up to that point, and what she did at KL — and it was

People don’t so much dislike the ending as the way they got us to the ending. Also... You say there was never going to be a happy ending... But this ending was about as happily ever after as you can get.

I disagree with that position though. The whole problem people have is that they threw all the nuance out the window.

The one group didn’t miss the point so much as felt the way the brought us to that point was sloppily done and because of it, the point didn’t feel earned. There is a lot of strawmanning of this argument though.

Well, I’m not a professional media critic by any stretch, but I still can separate decent storytelling from shitty storytelling. These last three episodes were simply botched. If you enjoyed everything and don’t give a shit about the details, I’m happy for you though.

Is it? Given that we’ve seen exactly what kind of force dragonfire has, do you think it’s any less swift than a decapitation? Seems to me, the way it was depicted, it’s instant death.
