I use one during intense DDR sessions at home, playing specific charts/songs intended for “stamina”. It’s remarkable how you can train yourself to perform longer with a high HR.

yeah, I remember that one. It was similar to Legend of The Red Dragon, in that it was mainly arena fighting and some simple messages between users. Still, this stuff was great fun in those days. I think it was just called “Hacker”

you best believe I’m listening to this soundtrack while playing :)

My right foot tends to go more heel, but my left foot lands more flat. If I run regularly on pavement my feet and ankles start to wear down.

Cool! I didn’t know that about the Autechre albums

I think it was advertised here before it was introduced to the states. I remember going to the UK and seeing it in bars and thinking woah! It’s a real drink!

Wipeout was my first introduction to some of my favorite things:

Works for me too! Before intense workouts (I only do early AM workouts) I start with a banana and a “light” dose of Amino Energy supplement. I hate coffee, and the stuff tastes like kool-aid in the right amount :)

I’ve been recording a weekly podcast since last November, and this is something I never thought of until my partner said “I sound like Homer Simpson what gives!?” Listening back to my own voice every week has made me hyper-critical of how I sound to others on a daily basis, not just the weekly show. But if I can

I’ve been following this game because the artwork is gorgeous. I can’t wait to spend this weekend fighting through it!

I 100% agree with the original letter that sparked this article. The game industry is huge now, and spans so many generations and both sexes. So why are game companies still compelled to sell primarily to young heterosexual men?

I Am Number 4 is one of the very few movies I walked out on in the theater. Holy-hot-garbage, Batman.

The current process of wading through piles of games to find the good ones may be daunting, but I always felt that is what game critics and game jounalism was for. (in addition to word-of-mouth and all that)

He’s awesome, the newest season is starving for more Ravi and Blaine screen-time!

if you’re interested in 2d games, GameMaker Studio is a treat to work with. it proclaims “no code” , but doing it that way sounds like a nightmare. GameMaker’s language (GML) is easy to understand and get stuff going straight-away. okay, done with my GM:S love-fest!

It looks as if the writers are intending the character Sheldon to just be awkward and brilliant, making him perfect for jokes. (like Bones maybe?)

This type of step chart is sometimes called “full spread” in the stepmania universe. Meaning that many of the 8th to 16th notes are 3 and 4 at a time, requiring your hands to play across the full keyboard. (not created for feet, or “pad”)

lower...

sounds AWESOME!

I’m working on a difficult “endless auto-scrolling platformer” video game. The little alien has been separated from his friends, so he must cross the ocean to reconnect with them. Here’s an early prototype GIF.
