This is me.  I remember really being very immersed in that game but man, the story was still really sad.

I don’t blame her for releasing that stuff and I doubt she enjoyed doing it.  But she had no choice to prevent this from getting derailed.

I found the whole sequence fun to play in the DLC especially the current timeline where Ellie is looking for meds in the mall.  I can understand the change to having Joel in the basement of an abandon house instead of trying to have two different mall sets.

Plus they’re supposed to be in an abandon mall.  You kind of need to show real stores to make it look like a real place.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to think FEDRA may still have some refineries going.  That would explain the military vehicles in QZs still having gasoline.  There was a mention that FEDRA in Atlanta was still manufacturing pharmaceuticals. 

Worth mentioning, Ashley Johnson will also be in that episode.

Yeah I think he’s part of the group Ellie comes across later on.  

Her delivery of the line “I’m not her you know” was so good.

I mean, they can do it with only 300 people. 

They changed it because in the game you can get away with way more injuries and survive.  I mean he drinks stuff in the game to regain health.  So they though falling on rebar would be too much in the more grounded version the show is.

They didn’t retcon the doctor.  Nothing that happened in part two re-wrote what happened in part one.

Abby is just the flip side of Ellie. She spent years looking for vengeance just the same as Ellie is in part 2.  

I don’t think Joel was a shitty person but had clearly done shitty things.  It just caught up with him.
