I’m surprised he has just been banned yet.

Without spoiling anything I would say there’s one other villain in the game who’s not just a nameless person who comes up when they get out west.

Someone keeps bringing him out of the grays.

Also, vengeance is a pretty good motivator.  Once her brother was beaten to death, all bets were off for her.

I didn’t think they’d get through the whole first game in one season.

It wasn’t clear why the entire city followed her either unless it was just out of loyalty to her brother. RIP Kathleen, I guess.

There was also some cool game references in there too.  The underground school they find is all taken from the game.  They even reference the guy Ish from the game who created the underground colony.

Agreed.  I also felt you needed some of that time with Sam and Henry to really feel the weight of what happens at the end.  It felt like another really emotional gut punch.

Jean Smart?  I’m in.

That’s what I’m thinking.

I read the book it’s based on.  It’ll be interesting to see the direction he takes with it.

There is a mention from Rory’s Clukin’s character in the book he reads that says that aliens wouldn’t just invade, they’d send out scouts first. So the idea is that they’re not running around in protection so they can blend in easier.

Yes, that seems to be the case. The daughter kept complaining that the water was contaminated.

Exactly.  We also don’t know why she’s after Henry either.  That’s kind of the point of TV, to spread things out over multiple episodes.

I see so many people bitching about her being in charge but apparently can’t wait for another episode to see her character fleshed out more? I mean she didn’t even show up until the last half of the episode.  We also don’t know what Henry is wanted for either.

That’s on purpose.  You’re not supposed to know in that episode why they’re following her yet.

Well, you get pretty desensitized to the violence in the game. And at this point he’d already killed a ton of people. This is more realistic.

That’s right.  I had forgotten they get married.

He admits later on he did that kind of thing before getting to Boston.

Probably not so much nutso but more paranoid, which kind of tracks with people who overthrow regimes.
