Look at Titanic winning best picture. I mean that award was basically because it made a huge haul. The visuals were good but it was basically Lady And The Tramp on a boat. It wasn’t particularly a great story. And god knows Kate Winslet has had way better performances than that movie.

I haven’t seen Nyad, but I can see why the Academy would want to give Annette Bening a late crack at finally wining an Oscar after five noms and no sale.

A Cameron version would have just been kind of a re-tread of Aliens. A large corporation trying to exploit dangerous animals for money.

Well said. It’s weird how people act like they’re owed something out of a TV show they voluntarily watch.  It’s not like there isn’t a ton of other content out there.

I feel like going to jail was good enough punishment for her.

Season 4 was the weakest of all of them.  I still think this was is as good as the first two.

Look in addition to bringing back Campbell find a way to bring back Parker Posey too.

Right?  We already got the meta movie within a movie version.

Yeah I never really questioned Lorraine’s love (even in her detached way) for her son or granddaughter.  

Oh and a lot of lube.

She has been fantastic in this season. Even though she was presented as being mostly awful this season I kept thinking “I hope she doesn’t get killed.”

And they’re super conservative.    Make no mistake, they absolutely have a preference.

That was still pretty dirty what they did to Julia Sawalha, and she even sent them recordings proving she sounded the same.

I think one of my favorites was one of the original Vice City trailers using “I Ran” by a Flock Of Seagulls.

You could manage to keep all three alive in GTA V.

That whole trailer being a homage to Koyaanisqatsi was brilliant.

She was kind of the comic relief in Gone Girl.

Or even hit by falling debris from the building.
