Another day, another article I can tell is Torchinsky's before I even open it.

so... ban motorcycles as well then?

do you write for ClickHole in your spare time?

if he wants to play legal stickler, then VW can too. If they drag this out I’d assume they can make this cost him a not insignificant amount of money just so he could earn 5 minutes of efame

America’s overly litigious nature is generally amusing to watch from a safe distance, but this guy is just an asshole

I don’t want to be too quick to call bullshit as that car is definitely capable of those speeds, but he didn’t really seem to be going that much faster than the car in the middle lane which he passed at around “250"km/h

I have a sneaking suspicion whoever was employed for the making of this video also makes perfume ads. It’s got that same bullshit vagueness to it that can only come from a mind that has truly disconnected from reality.

As a rider, this made my blood boil. However, you do have to go out assuming there will be assholes on the road, AND DRESS ACCORDINGLY. That goes doubly for whoever you put on the back; I get by on mid-level gear (except for my helmet, didn’t skimp out on that) but if I did take passengers I’d only have the best for

Could you just not take in your VW for the software adjustments? I know it’s kind of a dick move to the environment but I can imagine people would choose performance over the planet.

I don’t think his head would have taken too kindly to that canoe if the glass hadn’t held up. Very close to a Darwin Award

and any other part of the car is probably just as capable of punting a piece of debris out of the track limits anyway!

I’m on Pirelli’s side here, but tyre failure like that shouldn’t ever really happen. As Seb pointed out, if it happened 200m earlier he’s coming out of Eau Rouge backwards.

it’s not “jif”. The creator of the format may claim it’s that, but it’s absolutely not his choice. Language is crafted by everyone who speaks, and people have voted with their tongues. GIF

I prefer rally too, but why does this have to be a competition?

to be fair, the RX-7 was the only top line Japanese car of the time that wasn’t pushing (and probably exceeding) the gentleman’s agreement 276hp. I’d still place the NSX a cut above it, but I mean that’s a far more expensive and focussed vehicle.

I moan about how cold it gets here in Melbourne, it approaches zero celsius here, but I know it Canberra has a record low of minus 10, which is 14 degrees in the incorrect money and is reasonably cold by most standards. Speaking to friends from there, it’s not unusual to dip below freezing in winter.

submarines have always unsettled me on some deep level. can’t imagine the guts it would take to live on one, major respect to this guy and everyone who does that stuff.

Top Gear had been going stale for years, surely I’m not the only one that’s not all that excited about what they do next? Especially considering it just seems like they want to pick up exactly where they left off.

any kind of braking system is negatively affected by those conditions. I don’t think this will make things any worse.

As an Australian Toyota fan, I was happy to see Webber do as well as he did, but pretty butthurt at how damn slow the TS040 was. From the end of Le Mans last year until the start of the WEC season, I really thought this would be our year, and the ghosts of the GT-One could finally have peace.
